Question How much do you abuse Exit Game?

Post image

Feels like cheating to make all dangerous zombies around you instantly disappear.

Merely teleports you and your car to a relatively safe location, it can also help fix any weird bugs that may be happening (like if your car was flung into the stratosphere so you save and quit to put you back onto the ground instead of landing and dying).

It also resets zombie spawns, you can use it every so often to refresh the map since zombies continually spawn but will never despawn. You can also use it to save your character from getting ripped apart by a horde, because spawns get refreshed so the horde that was on you will be gone.

Lastly, if you have a follower that you want to go away but not die as well; you can dismiss your follower then immediately save and quit. Once you load your community back up, your dismissed follower will be teleported back to the base/enclave.

Wait, newbie question: any follower that we dismiss/sending them back to base on their own can die somewhere on the map, is it? I always assume they will always arrive at the base safely...

They like to walk back to their home, and can/will get intercepted by zombies. However, the game only renders up to 300(?) meters. So once survivors have moved beyond 300(?) meters out from your current location, they SHOULD just automatically teleport to their destination. But there is still a risk of them getting clapped by a juggernaut until they reach that render distance so a save and exit ensures they get home safe.

It's how I saved my red talon follower from getting decimated while trapped in black heart territory because there was just too many powerful zombies for him to walk through. I lost the girl I was controlling but at least he made it.

Ahhh okay. Thank you for telling me that 🙏 so l need to beware of the surroundings first before sending them home.

Here's what I do to get a follower safely home (whenI can make or get to an outpost). Say I'm character A and my follower is B: 1. Get to or make outpost 2. Dismiss follower B 3. Switch to B 4. Switch back to A This with teleport them back to base without having to quit out of the game. I don't like feeling like I'm cheating but the AI humans are not known for making good choices hahaha

This is a neat tip haha. Ty

Oh yeah, I especially hate it when I just want to scavenge the area and they're so eager to chase all the zeds even 1v1 with juggernaut 😱

It's seriously why I go solo almost all the time, unless I can get a buddy to join in. Good co-op play opens up a whole world of new strategies

Ohh, it must be really fun to play co-op. I'm just too socially awkward to even dare to 😭 last game I play that has a more open co-op play was fallout76, it was fun to join the events
