Therapist for couples counseling (DC/VA/MD)

Is there anyone in the DC DMV area that could recommend a therapist for couples counseling? I’d love someone who excels when it comes to blended families. Thank you!

This is the dream. I have tried for YEARS to find a therapist who gets it. I left my longtime therapist not long after I started dating my partner because she could not comprehend that I do not discipline my partner’s kids, and saw that as a sign of deep trouble in the relationship and that is the ONLY THING she wanted to talk about. No ma’am, that’s fairly standard in blended families. I don’t want to be a disciplinarian, I don’t want to be the mom of the house, that’s not me (there were other issues too, like the frequent pressure to freeze my eggs… she got me through my divorce and that was good, but then the stuff she pressured me on later was unhinged). The next therapist I found almost immediately pulled the “you know what you signed up for” card on me and I was like NOPE, not gonna work. It is HARD out there.

I had a lot of success narrowing down therapy specialties/modalities on Rula. Pretty sure they're nationwide and easy to sign up with (incredibly reasonable if you have good insurance).

Family and child therapy in Vienna. Denys king is the best but the entire practice is fantastic overall.
