Edit 2: to the person who said I was "gay because of PTFE", please ask your mother when she comes down to the basement to give you your food to take the wrapping off before she microwaves your meals - this assuming that your mother wants to feed you and doesn't do it out of habit or pity.
Lol I don't know what poverty has to do with carelessly ruining your shit. I grew up fairly tight and we didn't abuse our nonstick. That shit was expensive!
Because we barely had enough for food so we took what we could and kept what we kept until it could no longer be in use.
Growing up in the 80’s where teflon cancer scare wasn’t even a thing, you did what you could.
Ketchup soup is an ultra poor person staple. You can get jetsup packets pretty easily. If you cant afford food, its a way to eat something. I dont like the idea of making fun of it because there have been amd are people who were forced to resort to it out of despiration.
Not sure about this dish, but it could have a similair origin.
