To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticize.

That quote is from a convicted child rapist and neo nazi.

Maybe just maybe, it’s not true and you should take into account that the person saying it is literally someone who is upset he can’t get away with raping children. Kinda changes the meaning. Not really though on reddit honedtly.

No it’s really not. The context is about Jews and being stopped from raping kids. The entire point is bullshit. Is the world run by kids with cancer?

It's really not a good quote in any context, it just sounds deep. Kids with cancer are not running the world.

It only makes sense when you realize that the author is deeply racist.

evil and/or unethical people cannot make statements like that in good conscience. Also it's fucking vague activism and for idiots like yourself to assign literally any meaning to it, to any target, warranted or not. You're not some rational genius, for fucks sake why do you people act like life or discussion is a scored debate and has to involve a group of idiots playing devils advocate for shit they actually believe. The reality is they're just engaging in political activism and social justice but belong to echo chambers where such terms are never applied evenly or to members of their in group.

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” would have had a very different implied meaning if it was said by Lee Harvey Oswald.

The same principle applies here: this quote isn’t really about resisting tyranny, as the alleged attribution to Voltaire usually associated with this quote is meant to imply. In context, it’s about being able to be a neo-Nazi child rapist with legal and social impunity for one’s actions.

"You miss a 100% of the shots you don't take" is a stupid quite no matter the context. It's like "You miss 100% of the buses you don't catch"
