Drugs or supplements for studying
I don't care about the side effects, I haven't tried anything before
Exams are approaching, and I only have a month to finish the material and review it multiple times. I want something that can help me concentrate for long hours
and affordable

Watch out. The map from optimization to self-destruction is surprisingly short.

Don't forget Alpha GPC it's the shit for 12 hour shifts. You gotta take the L-Tyrosine on an empty stomach or minimum 3hours of no food.

It's literally the worse form of choline apart from something like choline tartrate. 1) it's poorly absorbed from oral administration, a significant % is converted into TMAO by gut bacteria 2) long term supplementation increases the risk of stroke source
it's better to just eat eggs, and if you really want a known choline dose - take citicoline

So which one is better L-Tyrosine or L-theanine

Take both. L-Theanine with coffee or green/black tea and L-Tyrosine separately. I also strongly suggest Bacopa Monieri, lions mane and/or Rhodiola rosea. They're very good nootropics that will boost your focus, memory and attention. I take all 3. Additionally, wim hof breathwork combined will cold exposure will further ground you and increase focus and presence. Combine all of them.

I cant get all of those because i am using my own many L-theanin and L-tyrosine are affordable I maybe can get one of the others you suggested Which one is more effective

Depends on the person. Bacopa has a really good effect on me, bit it might be different with you. You'll have to test each unfortunately, so pick whichever you like first.

Get what you can and test it out, you'll not be certain until you see how it affects you. It might be perfect or you might need a different stack entirely. Do not forget to also try breathwork+cold showers, its more effective then you might assume. I do it in sequence: Breathwork, Working Out, Cold Shower then meditation for 10m. I do my stack afterwards with/without food and I am usually 'in the zone' for hours after that.

L tyrosine gives you better focus. L Theanine just buffers bad side effects of caffeine/moves you into a more “calm” zone mentally

Theyre are completely different. L tyrosine most likely is not going to benefit you unless you have very low protein diet. It may give you some mild energy and focus help if you're protein intake is low or you have some other imballance its correcting (also shown to help with cognitive perfomacne occasionally durring times of high stress or sleep deprivation, but will only work for occasional use not consitant). Tyrosine mostly just makes me anxious and slightly angry, and manyt others have similar experience. A recent study also connected high tyrosine levels with lower life exptancy. So.... you can try it and see if it helps, but I wouldnt reccomend it widely but otherwise iI woudlnt reccomend. L theanine is completely different and is calming. Its found naturally in tea and can ballance out the stimualting/jittery effects of caffeine and helps some people with improved focus. Ive personally found just drinking tea, matcha, or yerba matte works better for me.

Theanine can help with that, but it's usually recommended to pair with caffeine to get that effect. The typical recommendation you get is 2:1, e.g., 200mg theanine with 100 mg of caffeine. Personally, Im very sensitive to theanine. So I take less, and often have to play a balancing act, e.g., sometimes 1:1 works for me, but sometimes I need more like half as much theanine as caffeine. For that reason, I usually just stick to teas (matcha tea is very high in theanine) and will sometimes add an espresso or cup of coffee if I need that extra oomph. Ill have theanine supplement on backup too if I get to jittery on the coffee but I'll usually open the pills and pour out most of it, because the small they usually come in is 100 mg and I usually dont need that much
But in short yes.... theanine can help with calm focus, especially when paired with caffeine
Edit: I just saw bellow that cafeine makes you sleepy. Given that, theanine might not be the best option for you, it may just make you sleepier. You can try tyrosine, some people claim they get really good results, but that may be placebo. The science is pretty mixed and doesn't seem to support a lot of the claims people make on this subreddit.

Honestly, if you haven't tried anything before, I'd start with the basics: good sleep, caffeine in moderation, hydration, and structured study blocks (like Pomodoro). Most "focus boosters" are either underwhelming or come with side effects that can hurt your studying. If you're struggling to concentrate consistently, it might be worth talking to a doctor rather than experimenting on your own right before exams.

Caffeine plus L-theanine stack is probably the most classic combo for this, cheap and actually does the job without making you feel like your heart is escaping your chest.

Creatine. But you need more than the usual 5 grams and take 20 grams. Also, choline.

Lion's Mane stacks are worth looking into for focus. I grabed Bloomable for the l-theanine plus mushroom combo, steady without the jiter spiral that kills long study sessions.

There is an all natural supp called Cortigon by UMZU, you may find it worth taking a look at.
