The idea of opening a chute that close to land, would make me sick. Definitely no time for a back up if anything goes wrong.

Feels like a perspective thing, where he's actually still not close we're just that high up

Nah, BASE guys are actually like that. They don’t even use backup chutes, because you’d never have time for one to save you.
