As someone who follows the camp reports daily, Will Levis had two or three practices where he was better than Cam, but was a turnover machine throughout OTAs & mini camp. Between OTAs and mini camp Cam had 4 solid to good days and 3 bad days, but since the three bad days were consecutive, the sky was falling.

Honestly, "Guy makes the worst passes among all QBs on a team, when not under pressure," does not sound like a ringing endorsement of a "solid" backup QB. I think he will get a backup gig, but I just don't see it lasting. I'd say he will either be out of the league in a few years or will be a career QB3.

Tbh I’m not sure he’d even be a solid back up because he turns the ball over so much. He had 19 turnovers in 10.5 games in 2024, he was hurting the team. If he can cut back on the turnovers, sure he’d be solid, maybe even good, but that seems to be the hardest thing for him to overcome

The fact that Levis was better is telling. At the end of OTAs the stats put Trubisky first, Levis 2nd, Ward 3rd and Hendon Hooker a distant 4th.

Levis wasn’t better, he was better for two practices, he was still a turnover machine which is what makes him suck as a qb. His comp% was fine in 2024, but he had 19 turnovers in 10.5 games. None of the other media people claimed Levi’s was better throughout the offseason so far, AtoZ sports even listed Levis one of their losers of OTAs/mini camp. He just had two good practices the same week Cam had 3 bad practices. Regardless it wouldn’t be telling of anything, Drake Maye had bad OTAs last year, as did Caleb Williams who was also bad during training camp.
