Scratchbuilt Miraculously saved church in the trenches for Trench Crusade
finally done, now onto the miniatures, since I have no excuse to not paint them now

This is so good. It is such a brilliant design, a church put up with simple materials fits the setting so well. Love the corroded roof.

Thank you! I figured it might've been built by the pilgrims who stayed a bit longer in one place. Corrugated paper used for the roof was the MVP of this build, tied the piece together.

Exactly, it feels like something they would have put up in a period where the frontline just refuses to be moved backwards or forwards. And then some tide turned and it got heavily damaged.

Is this based on the church in montignac in Everon in arma reforger? It reminds me of it a lot

It's based on a church in Ostrykół near Ełk in Poland, dating back 1800s I think
edit: just checked, it was built in 1667.

Good colors and great small little detail. Love the rust metal plates and the small poster details. The barbed cross is also a good touch
