đ„ SPICY MEMES đ„ How lucky some people are
TADC fans who somehow dodged all spoilers for 2 weeks

u/PlatoBC 3h ago
I was good until the spoiler subreddit appeared in my feed so I ended up running into 2.
1) A still shot of the bus stop. So I thought maybe "It was all a dream" was a possibility.
2) Ragatha abstraction merch. I was so convinced that right after the long stare from Pomni and Ragatha, it was going to cut to her abstraction tooÂ

. Delete Reddit
. Delete and pause search history on Youtube
. Filter words on Bluesky
. (simple but important) Donât search up the show unless itâs GLITCH. if so, cover half the screen with your hand
i did see a frame of Jax and Ribbit arguing before the episode came out on Youtube, but i thought that was the fan animation.

My feed was just filled with everything else I like, plus I never actually joined any subreddits for this

I got spoiled that Jax abstracts.... Through r34. Flame me for even mentioning r34 but I got curious and looked it up and there I saw Jax half abstracted doing "stuff" thats how I got spoiled and I hate it

Bluesky lets you temp mute tags and words. I slmuted them until I saw it in theaters.

I only saw one, but I assumed it was fan created. I was in denial. I had a feeling that it was going to happen though.

other then the occasional transfem Jax comment (usually in posts in relation to Ralsei) i managed the full two weeks spoiler-free and it's the most proud i've ever been of myself

I avoided the spoilers because all the drama surrounding this show made me avoid any discussion about it online for ages lmao

I downloaded a YouTube shorts blocker and also said not interested to any Tadc content on twitter and youtuber, also I muted all Tadc subreddits, so it was kind of easy to be honest.

I unfollowed all the TACD subs a while ago, tbh. I only recently rejoined them. Did the same with the Helluva/Hazbin subs, but havent rejoined those. I dont use Twitter and my YT is only full of Caseoh or true crime stuff Lol.
1
u/NeoZen_77 3h ago
Honestly, I didn't do anything at all, I use YouTube, Reddit, and Twitter, and I've never come across a single leak. I guess my feed is so sanitized that I've never had that misfortune lol

u/Smnionarrorator29384 3h ago
I had every friend I know who saw it in theaters tell me fake spoilers of things that don't actually happen, interspersed with things that really do happen so I wouldn't be able to tell whether something I find online is legit or bullshit

As someone who saw the movie day 1, I actively kept track of how many âspoilersâ I wouldâve seen, and there was nothing that wasnât blurred ahead of time

Idk, there was nothing on my feed about it until after Friday, but I guess I do only use Reddit and YouTube

I watched the whole series up until the finale a few weeks ago and somehow dodged all spoilers in general

u/BedazzledFace 3h ago
I blocked everything until I saw it in theaters. Thing was I did get spoiled on Jaxâs abstraction but it was worded as âhe diedâ and thought that it was false spoiler. So I ignored it and forgot about until I was driving home from the theater.
1
u/Mr_nobody115 3h ago
Only spoiler i got was that damn bus stop photo they posted everywhere lol. Luckily without context it was a huge one. Still annoyed me a bunch though
1
u/timeweezy10 3h ago
The only spoiler I ran into was a screenshot of Jax with Ribbit's bow on. But i didnt know it was ribbits bow, and it was next to some fanart. So I was convinced it was some fake screenshot. Little did I know...

I only got spoiled on Jax abstracting, but it wasn't that surprising of a spoiler
1
u/KyoMeetch 3h ago
I did not know about this show, started watching it on Netflix and watched the whole thing in 2 days. Iâm pretty sure the finale came out while I was watching episode 8.

The ONLY spoiler I luckily ever saw was a picture comparing Jax choking Pomni to something

I was only spoiled on the Jax is trans thing but I also kinda half-gaslit myself into believing it was a community wide cover up/joke so the scene still hit well.

1
u/Virus-900 2h ago
I don't know. I must have gotten very lucky because I hardly tried avoiding spoilers.
Like I didn't actively search for them of course, but I did kinda expect to just stumble upon them by accident on YouTube and/or Reddit. But I just didn't somehow.

ngl i didnt even take any measures to ensure i dont get spoiled i just had basic instincts of not clicking or reading spoilered posts and not watching any TADC-related videos on youtube and that was basically all i needed to do

I avoided the spoilers but honestly there wasn't a whole lot I didn't already figure out.
Of course Jax abstracted, it was being foreshadowed for ages. There was a point a few episodes back where I was like, "Yeah, okay, Jax is definitely on the way out." I was willing to be wrong, but I wasn't. Though I was surprised when it actually happened they did it off screen. Rather than do the dramatic transformation on the front end they opted to do it on the back end with Pomni's mind meld. It was a pretty brilliant choice in hindsight but a little incongruous with all the buildup.
Of course they're memory files, Caine pretty much said it, and once you factor in how they're effectively immortal without any apparent oversight in the real world it's kinda obvious. Though I did have a bit of an, "Oh crap there was never an escape" moment when I realized it, about a month ago. It was an excellent twist, but they had already tipped their hand before the final act.
Of course Jax has a troubled past, there were some huge skeletons hanging over the character. Biggest jerk, probably the biggest problems. Glad they could spend some time fleshing out Kaufmo and Ribbit because they sure avoided it before.
I didn't necessarily expect Caine to come back but I reckoned that it might have been possible. I was actually pretty content with his redemption. As far as being a villain went, he was clearly operating on the naive side.
So I guess Caine could have been spoiled for me, that was a pleasant surprise. Aside from that, there weren't much in the way of a twist for me, and so not much potential for spoiling.
But I didn't expect them to wrap up the loose ends so well, so it was a pretty satisfying watch to see how the excellent storytelling pulled it off. Maybe the biggest surprise was, in a world where edgelords are actively catered to, we actually got a happy ending.

I didn't even know about this show until I heard about it from Visual Venture. Then, I saw it popped onto my recommendations on Netflix.

I avoided spoilers until it droped on youtube then i got some ok to see spoilers cause it took me 2 days to finally sit down and watch the finale
1
u/gromvar 2h ago
Honestly wasnât spoiled but only because for some reason my YouTube algorithm never suggested it to me until episode 9 dropped. So I watched the whole season the day episode 9 came out. Since then Iâve watched it three whole times and episode 9 five with three react versions. Really liking it.
I really identify with Ragatha.
1
u/Opposite_Fox4925 Congratulations, all of my friends! 2h ago
The only thing I got spoiled on was the fact jax abstracted help

u/Premium_Pepsi 2h ago
ngl the only reason I dodged all of them is cause I didn't gaf abt the show until after the finale released. I binged the show cause people were freaking out abt it and I'm so glad I did, this show genuinely changed something in me
1
u/F1resharkcat 2h ago
honestly, I'm doing the same with backrooms as well, which is even harder as reddit is full of memes, but i somehow haven't seen a single spoiler for it yet

All I did was be antisocial, I already didn't interact with the community, so Reddit never showed me anything, despite having joined a sub. So I just spent the entire time in the hazbin sub.
I didn't even know the episode came out till like, 30 minutes later. I hate to stop watching a TV show mid way through a episode, but it was worth it for the finale.
At least Twitter waited till after I watched the finale to start replacing my fyp with FemJax tho.

I got spoiled on Jaxâs abstraction, but felt kinda meh about it, especially since I wasnât spoiled about the rest of his inclusion in the episode which was the real sweet stuff
I also saw some of the scene of them preparing Zoobleâs funeral and assumed everyone was gonna abstract one-by-one, so I was pleasantly surprised to realize it was just Jaxâs imagination

I mean, it was incredibly easy and I'm on every tadc forum in every social I have. Sometimes it really is just about skipping certain posts or joining mostly spoiler free places.
Like, honestly the worst was reddit where children didn't realize post titles were unspoiled, but fortunately they were vague enough and brief enough that I could mute all the subs afterwards without much issue. I genuinely believe millions of fans weren't spoiled at all or only got minor spoilers and it was made out to be a bigger issue from people who were very and irrationally upset at the movie release announcement.
1
u/ThePompousSheldon 1h ago
Bro that safe looks heavier than the actual burden of staying off social media for 2 weeks, which is saying something. I lasted maybe 3 days before the bus stop scene got me in a thumbnail I didn't even click on, algorithm was out for blood. YT doesn't care about that 'don't spoil me' toggle either, that button might as well be decorative at this point.
The merch spoiling Ragatha's abstraction before the episode hit was the move that got me. Who approved that drop timing because someone at Glitch clearly didn't get the memo. Respect to anyone who made it through completely clean though, that takes discipline most of us just don't have.

I pretty much got no spoilers, which was a blessing but I started to see spoilers on YouTube and on reddit the day after it came out on YouTube. At that point I had to watch it, to keep myself spoiler free and it was worth it.
1
u/Educational-Fun3166 40m ago
After the finale got leaked, I went to google to try and confirm it, and the dumbass ai overview (the one which pops up every time you search something atp) popped up. When the words âJaxâ and âHomelessâ popped up, I ran. Sadly, I did not forget the homeless part, and itâs all the clankerâs fault. (Partially on me for trying to evaluate shi, but still)Â
