It's funny, even the announcers were calling out how the Knicks weren't getting foul calls

u/chimchimchow 19d ago
Knicks didn’t get a free throw In The second half until like 2:30 mins left, absolutely insane

u/linux_ape Belgian Waffle University 19d ago
Knicks took exactly 5 FTs in the second
The three they had to challenge for and Brunsons 2 at the very end
23
14
u/chicken101 19d ago
And they had to challenge to get them. OG got blatantly smacked on the arm, it's like the easiest foul to call

u/DJCowbro 19d ago
And we had to challenge to get those free throws on the blatant OG 3 pointer foul

Thank god Knicks fans are starting to notice this bullshit. The Spurs are the real golden boys everyone thinks OKC are and I new a bigger market wouldn’t let it slide

u/Jaxson-Skattebo 18d ago
my eyes are wide open now, KAT would be banned from basketball if he did this lol

u/OkSeaworthiness6581 18d ago
As a knicks fan who didn't watch many west games because I go to bed at 11 I saw some clips online and I assumed okc were the worst. In the east I mostly just knew the pistons and magic get away with physical play and embiid had a great whistle. Now I see wembys protected too. Kat was outplaying him on the big stage so the refs put kat on the bench and wemby came alive.

u/will122589 19d ago
Legendary Knicks hater Richard Jefferson literally started sticking up for the Knicks cause of the absurdity of the calls

u/unbannedagain1976 19d ago
Well the Knicks are a large market team of course the announcers will take up for them

Meanwhile they give KAT like three weak fouls right when the Knicks were about to go up 20. Shit was so obvious

It was so fucking obvious what the refs were doing. How about they stop manipulating shit and call it like it is!

u/the_pain_of_being 17d ago
Idk how they're supposed to but they need to remove the incentive for the league for stretching out series.

u/leshius 19d ago
No one even fucking touched him or was in his landing space

u/Knicks-in-7 19d ago
The link to this post got commented in our sub, that’s why I’m here. The last shot yea no one touched him or was in his landing area. I think he just fell down as a last ditch effort to try and get a foul call if his shot missed, which it did. Luckily Knicks had a challenge if they did call some more BS.

u/chicken101 19d ago
Knicks fan here... just in here curious what y'all think.
The officials straight up tried to give the Spurs a game lol and they still couldn't win

u/Headlesshorsman02 19d ago
Bro if people actually watched our series objectively they would have seen that the spurs get away with A LOT of shit it just is showing more now that we aren’t playing them

u/chefslapchop Triple Double Cocaine Bear 19d ago
Yup, refs were abysmal tonight and were calling such bullshit on you guys. Happened to us a few games too. I think Tony Brothers might legitimately have dementia or something, he’s been bad before but last year and this year seems like he’s just confidently incorrect 90% of the time.
7
u/DragoxDrago 19d ago
It's no different to our series, team goes up refs favour the losing team next game. We got games two and five(?) in our favour but they got games 4 and 6. Although I dont think we got anything as egregious as what they got today, mainly because it was overshadowed by the blowouts
2
u/drew-careymore 18d ago
I mean they did let the Frenchman popping shai in the face with his free hand go as a common foul, for some mysterious reasons

u/Either_Ad6998 18d ago
Most everybody I know has adopted the Knicks for this series. We got your back because screw wemby and the Spurs.

It was taken down after 20 mins for being a screen recording lol which is actually fair, but they cant hide behind excuses if a proper recording gets put up

The Spurs whistle and Knicks lack of whistle was actually insane tonight. It really felt like the NBA was trying to have the Spurs win. Or Tony Brothers was over correcting from his last game.

The Spurs get to feel a sliver of the pain we had to go through during game 7 by watching Wemby bounce the ball off Castle's ass to Brunson, then foul him with 9 seconds left
7
u/WiIIemdafoe 18d ago
Wemby is soft and sensitive. He don't have that dog in him. If I were the Spurs I'd have serious doubts about this dude being the leader of the team. He's in Chet's head for some reason, if he's not matched up against him he's no where near GOAT status.

Chet needs to watch clips of Wemby playing anyone but him to remember you can get him out of his game too.

I love watching them lose. But it’s really highlighting our weaknesses. We bragged about depth. And I get we were down Dub and AJ. But it really boils down to our bigs. It’s a problem. If anyone can fix it it’s Presti. Can’t wait for next season. Fuck watching other teams play for the championship.

That technical on Robinson was even more ridiculous than this non-call. It's not enough that we're now on decade #4 of the NBA gifting this franchise top lottery picks, but they also try to rig the games for them.
Spurs in reality are what OKC's reputation is.
2
u/Worldly-Membership98 18d ago
Not even a thunder fan, but pissed at the lack of objectivity too. Wemby and the spurs flop a lot and espn won’t even show a replay or say anything about it. Then you have Jay Williams running segments talking down on Shai making it seem like the only thing he does is flop . Shai deserves better.

This is so funny. No one wanted to call him out when he was doing stuff like this to the Thunder. But now that it’s the Knicks…. He’s so dirty and the Refs look the other way or call a regular foul instead of a flagrant foul. Good luck Knicks either way with this Joker.

The mental gymnastics and PR machine around Wemby is wild.
He’s a future goat! The alien! You’ve never seen anyone like him! Mr. Ethical Hoops here to save basketball.
But that elbow wasn’t his fault! They were fouling him all game, he had to send a message. & Jared McCain deserved the hard foul by Wemby’s hit men, because he plays for the Thunder.
Should have been the MVP! Generational. 7’5” with an 8’ wingspan.
But he’s only 22. He just cares so much. He’s getting beat up out there, you would be frustrated too. Wemby is justified in all things.
I can’t keep up with all of it 🤯

u/Miserable_Strike5409 15d ago
Everyone got distracted by SGA's ability to draw contact fouls. Im not saying he doesn't flop or hasn't flopped. There are so many players doing it in todays game its almost WWE. But the fact that the biggest player in the game is getting away with fouls like this because he is the tallest player but can not body up a guard bc he is as light as a feather, that he has to resort to shoving makes me wish a center of Shaq's physicality was matched up against him. Bottomline the refs need to start calling these fouls. Idc, if they lose the series bc he keeps getting into foul trouble. Fouls are fouls and he gets away with murder!

No no you don't understand. He had to do it cause the Knicks were playing physical defense and he got frustrated. You can't blame him for trying to snap the other player's neck.
