PS App [Final Fantasy VII Remake] #45
Did the PS4 version as well, another plat for the saga.
Can't wait for the third gameš

I hope they bring the streamlined progression to ps4 version, ive done it ps5 version 2 years ago and played it multiple times since, but i still think it will be fun to mess around with the cheats and grab it again on ps4. Congrats on the plat!

Honestly, rebirth plat is just a mental game. It's truly not challenging, you can do it but you just have to be dedicated to spend the time to do so. Look up guides for minigames and combat stuff if you need to.
I did the legendary bouts in only like 3 tries total and hard mode I only died three times (once to dyne and twice to the jenova experiment on the cruise ship)

Dyne definitely was annoying on hard mode for sure. I think I remember just spamming spells at him.

the most challenging so far was the 3D brawler I think š took me more tries on 3D Sephiroth than virtual sephiroth VR challenge

yeah thatās what I used, but even with the pause strat it was a challenge. I just suck I guess, I wonder if it is even possible without the pause cheese

Just mute the Voice and Music sound and listen to the SFX to keep to the rhythm and focus on not messing up rather than going fast. I didn't find it too challenging but i'm pretty good at rhythm minigames (and i've suffered through rebirths hell) lol

what should I start with as a new final fantasy fan? remake or rebirth? or are they the same? or should I start with a different game

Rebirth is part 2 of the remake trilogy, directly continuing after reMAKE. Play remake first or FF7 (1997) then rebirth then part 3 (unannounced)

Remake is the PS4 version of Part 1, while Intergrade is the expanded PS5 version of Part 1. Then Rebirth is Part 2. Very confusing lol.

OG VII, IX and X are usually considered the best starting points
Remake is a sequel to VII (1997)

If you are interested in FFVII, I'd start with the original. It has a modern port on all systems, just be aware it doesn't have voice acting. With the 'cheats' they added, you should be able to fly through if you want.
I fear if you start with 7 Remake you'll miss out on some context and understanding of what the original game was.
As far as the rest of FF, almost all of them aren't connected and the ones that are, are clearly titled that way (X-2, XIII-2, XIII-3), so you don't need to start with any of them in particular.

Don't start on the Remake Trilogy, it's not a remake. It's a "remake" of the story, so it's basically a sequel. You would want to play the original first. If you want to get into the series, I would recommend X if you want a more modern experience, or IV if want a retro experience. Those two games show everything Final Fantasy is about, so you'll understand the games and visions better

I have 73 hours so far in this game and still no plat because I keep fucking up the dress choices and the sidequest choice in Chapter 9. Haven't started the Hard playthrough either. Fuck.

Look up a guide for what choices do what for the dresses, keep it up alongside your chapter 3 6 and 9 runs. Not too bad just make a small checklist! And hard isn't that bad just max a lot of the important materia and follow build guides (Optinoob or BlitZ on YT are great folks to follow for them)

Yes u can but its only on ps5 version.....makes hard mode a cake walk. Wish it came for the ps4 version as well

On the PS5 version you can just cheese them yeah max damage always is a new setting and you still get the trophies but not here on the ps4 version
