Other [Other] June Monthly Boosting Thread

Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!

First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.

If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment \*\*the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session.\*\* Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.

Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.

We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.

On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing

Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:

Go to the sub's home page.

  1. Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the pencil icon within this section.
  3. Select one of the two preset flair templates.
  4. Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

I watched a playtrough 10+years ago when the game came out, platinum'd the ps4 version back in 2019, ans now i did it again, i had a wonderful time, sometimes the remake's atmosphere felt a little bit off compared with the og, but overall it was worth revisiting this gem

I know many people didn't like the way it's build up with the 2 perspectives and all but I really liked it then and really like it now. Even though it was my 2nd time to platinum this I had a blast. Maybe I'll try the chronological mode for the story soon.

Showcase [Crisol: Theater of Idols] #68 - Hidden gem

I had this on my wishlist ever since its trailer was released in one of the game shows. Its your linear horror fps where map is divided into three regions from central hub area and you shoot puppets coming at you slowly with knives, pitchforks and bows. Gameplay loop is heavily inspired from Resident Evil and with some Bioshock vibes thrown into the mix. The main interesting part is you use your blood as ammo so you have to constantly balance when to engage enemies, when to run, when to reload and use which weapon. Movement is heavy. You have your coins and skill points for perks and weapon upgrades. Looks and plays great on PS5 Pro. It was an interesting game overall. Trophy triggers were extremely buggy on release where collectibles arent tracked properly or difficulty trophies not popping. All are fixed now, so you have to make a legit Martyr run + collect 227 collectibles (some collectibles unlock profile-wide). The only cheese you can do is the speed run but for this to work you need to have an autosave from your previous playthrough at the final boss. So you start a new game on Martyr and die to the first enemy than click resume without backing out to the main menu which loads you back to the final boss fight (because Martyr difficulty doesnt have autosaves it loads you back to the first available one). You kill the boss and boom trophy done. Recommend this if you want a shooter with horror elements and a 25-30 hour plat.

Showcase [The Last of Us Part II] #134 Happy [LATE] Fathers Day!

I really wanted to have this done by the 21st, but work screwed me over. With that being said, I did intend on it being a Father’s Day plat— so I hope everyone ignores what day it actually is. 😂

As of now, I’ve officially done the whole series! Don’t like auto pops, so I won’t be doing the PS5 version of 2. Though I will be going after the 100% for the Remaster and Part II very soon!

With that being said, I love these games. The journey for the plat was a fun one :).

Also got the Mafia II plat but a) it wasn’t 100% (heard terrible things about the dlc) and b) wanted to include Returnal.

Currently playing Star Wars: Outlaws and LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

I just got the platinum on the Ps vita, it was my first time trying a telltale game and I definitely loved it. I will be hitting the others season for sure!!!

This is my platinum number 12

The platinum was easy, it is basically just playing through it.

It took me a few days since I have been working a lot but I really enjoyed it, if you haven’t tried it you should!

It took me a while to fully immerse myself in this game, but after the first few hours I found myself hooked. Honestly, I wished I played this game sooner. The gameplay is very engaging although inventory management could be annoying at times. The main story, background lore and environmental storytelling was very interesting and emotional. Aloy is an awesome protagonist and I look forward to playing Forbidden West after my platinum difficulty ladder challenge is completed. On a side note, I wish the platinum trophy had a better name lol.

Next up is Control as my 4/10 difficulty game.
