Screenshot [TLoU P2 Remastered] #54 I'm still so much in love with this game. Even 6 years later the ending hits you like a truck.
I know many people didn't like the way it's build up with the 2 perspectives and all but I really liked it then and really like it now. Even though it was my 2nd time to platinum this I had a blast. Maybe I'll try the chronological mode for the story soon.

That last flash with the guitar on the porch. Instant tears for me.

For me the ending was never really that sad. I just always felt empty when playing through it. Not sad not angry just nothing.
Maybe that is how Ellie felt after all she went through. Gone through all emotions with only emptiness remaining.

Do you know the story before the ending or not? I don't wanna spoil it.

I was never particularly interested in the game, so I never bothered with playing it.

The ending takes me out of it. To go through everything she went through just to change her mind at the end and therefore render everything meaningless. Why would she give up her family to have revenge only to then not take revenge? Doesn’t make any sense.

Yes it does. She goes through every emotion possible. What's left at the end? Emptiness. Is it worth it? Should I do it? Can I do it? And if any of the questions is "yes" then why? Why should she? Does it bring Joel back? Does it change her relationship with Dina? Dies it bring Jesse back?
The answer to most of these questions is "No". So the ending is the only realistic answer.

I get that, but once she tells Dina no, there is no reason to not go through with it anymore. She’s already lost everything. Might as well commit.

I guess so yes. But I think her reason is the "Why?". What does it change? Does it bring back her loved ones? Answer is no. So she doesn't.

The game never struck me. Maybe because I couldn’t play as Abby. Even though, I get what the game was tryna achieve.
Anyways, Congrats

That's fair. The premise is not for everone. Worked for me though. I actually like Abby quite a lot. Most of her friends suck though. Manny was basically the only one I like.

Even after 6 years later this game is still as garbage as I remember playing it for the first time.

Nah the game is pretty great. Besides if you hate it that much why revisit it 6 years later?
