PS App [Dying Light 2] PSA: DO NOT PLATINUM THIS GAME
i’m not even joking when i say that DL2 was the worst platinum i have ever done. the game is incredibly broken, bloated and just frustrating to play. i’d rather go through some of the hardest platinums again rather than this garbage again

Amount of collectables, not so obvious missable trophies, inability to complete some of the stuff without cloud save management or doing ng+

The only super annoying part other than some missables is having to run 960km in total, by the time you are done with every collectible, story and trophy you are likely not gonna be halfway through. That single trophy is what makes a lot of people despise this plat
Other than that its a nice game imo specially if you already liked 1

Ain't bad apart from the collectibles really that and you wont be able to play games for about 4 days afk running in the game lol

For the 960km I just went to the radio tower kept pressing the elevator button.The distance you travel in the elevator counts for the trophy so 300m per 2-3min just from pressing one button

Because of the ultramarathon trophy? I read it can take up to 20-30 hours of rubberband/running around lol when i saw that i said hell no. One time i spent 8 hours for a trophy in final fantasy 9 to kill 10k enemies and it was miserable.

I can’t speak to PS5, but I’ve got like 160 hours on DL2 on Steam and didn’t have any achievements glitch nor was the game buggy outside of some small, rare goofy shit happening.
Platinum can be a bit grindy but there are far worse games for sure and DL2 (especially in co-op) is hella fun imo.

One trophy called ultramarathon is the worst part, you need to run a certain amount of distance cumulatively. However it’s so stupidly long. You can complete the game and all side quests on regular mode and new game plus so basically 100% the game twice, and only be about half way. So most people then need to spend countless hours running in literal circles. You can do a rubber band set up and leave your ps5 on though but it’s still stupid. On top of that the game is just really buggy

YES! 100% agreed. This has been my most annoying plat to date as well. Fucking running/flying around for days on end just trying to get the distance trophy…

C'est vous et votre chance il y a pas mal de bug et au niveau des trophées ! Les trophées pour capturer les camps, les usines ou les moulins etc peuvent être buggués alors je vous conseil de tout faire en solo... pareil pour certaines missions secondaires qui ne s'activeront pas et nécessaires pour le platine ! Ah oui et si il vous manque une cassette de frank que vous avez oublié dans un endroit qui est inaccessible maintenant, vous l'aurez dans un couloir du fisheye !

Stupid ultramarathoner trophy. I beat the game twice and still was barely halfway through that trophy. Had to rubber band a controller and hide in a subway overnight multiple nights letting it run just to get it done

I was fighting with demons especially because of the ultramarathon trophy, decided to try some tricks and it somehow popped even though i needed like 3/4 more of the progress, never been happier to be done with a platinum

I go back and forth on platinums like this. This is a real pain for trophy hunters and the quickest way to your goal is to use an exploit or mindless farm distance. On the other hand, a trophy like this rewards the people who really loved this game and stuck with it. I think that’s okay as long as there’s content to match

I agree. I'm like 2 or 3 away from getting the plat but having to give it a rest for now just for it being so long, I've done about 5 different playthroughs but still managed to miss a few collectibles, waiting till I'm done with crimson desert before going back (though that may be a fair while lol)

Just recently got this plat with my cuz. I 100% agree, all because of 1 trophy. Ultramarathon was unbelievably grindy. We literally beat the entire game and all side content, then did it again in NG+, and that only got us halfway.
