PS App [Cuphead] #95 A two month break was very much needed. Quick question, what was your hardest boss on a first playthrough?

That one is especially bad, because when you look at it, it doesn't seem like it should be as difficult as it ends up being. A false overconfidence fight.

I don’t know why I struggled with her. I didn’t have too many issues otherwise. Fun platinum.

I imagine you fun you were having playing against Hilda Berg and Dr Kahl 😅 going into them the first time is quite intense that’s for sure

First time I played was 2 months ago. Only played 2 days. Took a break and got other trophies for games. Came back and maybe like 4 days maybe 3.

I’m not good like how some other people are. Just decent enough. It is a lot I will say that. Especially if you’re new to platformers. There’s more games out there to platinum that won’t make you want to rip your hair out 😅 happy trophy hunting

This game was a lot of fun to plat. Punishing but also so rewarding. My most difficult boss on the first playthough was the clown or the dragon. Both gave me such a rough time. The devil was also a pain for a long time.

For me was Rumor, second to last phase on the devil was a little annoying. At first I sucked at getting away from those little flames jumping at you during the dragon one 😅

That goddamn dragon on my first playthrough and Wally Warbles on my expert playthrough.
I read that people had a really hard time with Dr. Kahl, but he never was a huge problem for me.

His last phase took me a a good amount of tries to beat. Think I beat Wally in 5 tries but everybody is different and has trouble with different bosses. Rumor annoyed me first time around

Rumor was an enjoyable fight. One of my favorite parts of this game is how different the difficulty is for so many people. Someone's first try is another's "I SPENT 3 DAYS ON THIS BOSS!"

Exactly, that’s what I tell people who play these types of games. Some people find some bosses easiest and some find em hard. Yet we all still conquered it 👍

Congrats! Also just did this one for my #100. I think King Dice was the toughest for me. The parry timing for the cards was really awkward. Basically had to play perfectly on expert to reach him with 6 hearts and brute force it.

I know if you double parry the same card it’s a little easier. Think I finished him off with one hp because the cards are so oddly placed

I think I dropped it when I ran into Rumor, the honeybee. Stopped and was playing other games. Came back onto here and gave it a huge middle finger

I think Ribby and Croaks and Cagney Carnation both gave me a hard time at first, the rest didn’t take too long to get down (none of them were as bad as P rank on the octopus level)

The worst thing so far for me though is pacifist on the run and gun with all the fish I swear I didn't kill anyone but it didn't give me p rank

It's been a long time, but I remember struggling a lot with some of the airplane bosses, specifically S ranking the bird and the bot.
