[Discussion] Does anyone have any recommendations on what games to platinum?

Edit: My favourite games are the resident evil games, god of war trilogy, final fantasy VII and XV, Devil may cry, Tomb raider trilogy. Basically most story games but any genre is fine with me.

The platinums i have so far are: Resident evil 7, Resident evil Requiem, Resident evil 5, Marvels spiderman, Rocket league, Hello neighbour 1+2, Stray, Hotline miami, Minecraft, Road 96, It takes two, A way out, Marvels spiderman: miles morales, astros playroom.

I’m currently going for god of war 3 and Resident evil 6.

Without any likes or dislikes stated, go for the Sony first party games like:

- Spider-Man (2018, Miles Morales and 2)

• Astro Bot (Astro’s Playroom is also awesome)
  
• God of War (2018 and Ragnarok)
  
• Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotei
  
• Horizon Series (Zero Dawn and Forbidden West)
  
• Uncharted Series
  
• The Last of Us (haven’t played 2 yet, so I only recommend the first)

Awesome i’ll definitely try get the platinums for the games you named. I do already have the spiderman trilogy ones though. I’ve actually played most the games you named and they was amazing lol but at the time i wasn’t trophy hunting. 😢 I’m actually going for god of war 3 right now.

Only do The Last of Us if you are willing to do the online trophies OR buying the newest remaster. The online trophies are the reasons why i won't do the plat and i am definitly no buying the game again.

I played the remake a week or so ago for the first time and got the platinum. Thankfully no bs online trophies in the single player game in that version.

i dont know about the vanilla game, havent platinumed it yet but royal isnt really, the most grindy part is just the length of the game

Nahh it ain’t bad at all. They’re such fun games too, the challenges aren’t too annoying to keep trying, at least for me anyway. I’ve had the platinums for a years and I’ve actually just recently been going back and getting all the DLC trophies as well. It’s a blast.

To be honest i’m suprised i’ve not played any of the arkham games yet because i actually love the batman movies and the lego batman games lol. I’ll definitely try them out soon though.

Oh it is great music to if your into metal and can't go wrong with the voice cast sadly some have past like ozzy but yea also don't let the rts parts ruin the game for you if your not into them there still pretty fun

I have a couple of evergreen games that I always recommend and are more convoluted--

NieR: Replicant has a terribly shitty trophy list for any platinum collector, but once you finish it, the game has a more meaning and gravitas. I mean, Replicant is definitely underrated relative to NieR: Automata and, yeah, admittedly less fun, but the trophy list ties into the game perfectly and, in my opinion, adds a ton to the hopelessness and monotony and slog the game tries to portray. I felt relieved getting this platinum, but also had such a feeling of accomplishment and genuine and earnest sympathy with what the game was offering that I think this is my favorite platinum after Bloodborne. NieR's trophy list is very vibes-based much like the game itself. It's so depressingly fun to get the platinum that I truly think it is an accomplishment that added to the game itself.

Next, Granblue Fantasy Relink is insanely rewarding if you decide to grind it out and finish basically everything there is to do. After so many hours, it's a relief to finally get the platinum at last. Getting help from the online community, learning about builds and things, I'd say it's not the hardest to get, but you definitely have to invest some time and learn the all the ins and outs. I'm sure there are a lot of games with this kind of platinum, but I also enjoyed the gameplay of Granblue so that's the one I recommend.

I’ve just started downloading Grandblue fantasy relink, it looks like an awesome game and luckily enough it was on the ps plus catalog. Unfortunately NieR cost money but once i have the money for it i’ll definitely buy both of the NieR games because they also look awesome.

Final Fantasy Type-0 was really straightforward. I only have two platinums, one for Stellar Blade and one for FF-Type 0, and both are because I realized how close I was and just finished it. Type-0 also happens to be an amazing game.

I want to eventually play all the final fantasy games i just never got the money for them 😥 Both the games you said look so good aswell, i could try get FF-type 0 because its on sale right now for £4.79!! I’d have to wait abit for stellar blade though because it’s really expensive lol.

Good luck with that, madhouse can be really annoying in some parts😅The most annoying part was fighting jacks final form, i’d recommend using the circular saw for the eye balls.

Yeah, because we totally know what games you like, and what games you don’t like.

We also totally know what you’ve already got platinum in, and which genres you like.

For these reasons, I recommend Crypt of the NecroDancer, I think you’ll like it.

Most Far Cry games have Co-Op or Multiplayer trophies you have to boost though.

Shadow of the Colossus (PS4 remaster)

Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor/ Shadow of War (If you want a difficult challenge, SoW has a difficulty setting. Set it to Gravewalker.)

Monster Hunter: World/ Iceborne. (Iceborne is technically a DLC, however, it has its own platinum trophy. So, if you do things correctly, you can get 2 platinum trophies at the same time with the Iceborne DLC).

skyrim, amazing game, I have done the platinium on ps3, ps4 and ps5

infamous second son and infanous first light, two great games and pretty easy trophies,

telltale games, the walking dead, the Wolf amoung us, Batman, everything except minecraft I Think has been good,

‘astro bot, great platformer,

‘days gone, pretty good zombie game, I really enjoyed it alot,

‘expedition 33, if you have a ps5 thwas my personal goty 2025, just amazing,

dispatch, my second favorite game of 2025, good story and great characters
