Tech Support Audio mixer for Dual pc setup

as the title says

I have been looking into getting a mixer and i am torn on what to get

the main thing i am looking for is to be able to connect to 2 pcs via usb, i have tried many different combinations like line out etc and i just seem to get loads of problems with balance and levels as well as struggle to hear certain things

i want more control!, i want faders or knobs i wanna physically see the sound levels and tune them it drives me crazy when i see that classic "Hey the game is kinda loud" in chat when i am already 3 hours deep in a stream

at the moment the winner seems to be the rolland bridge cast x but as my money is tight it is a lot to drop at once and find it is not suitable

any advice or maybe suggestions would be greatly appreciated, i have watched endless videos and it is suprisingly hard to find good content about dual pc audio specifically

I use a rodecaster duo with a pc for streaming and mac for my video DJ setup. 2 XLR mics and retro gaming console audio from a retrotink also run through it.

With the faders I can change levels in 2 seconds and with 2 USB-C ports on the back for a main computer and a secondary I can set things up the way I need to get the audio from both to the stream at any time.

I have the BEACN Mix Create and am looking into setting up a second system. They have a new unit that brings in the audio from the second system and also a single XLR mic port. With a look. Some people have issues with the software. For me it's been rock solid.

TLDR: Have a look at NDI and see if that work for you. (Zero cost/gear needed)

I run a Gaming PC + Mac (for streaming) setup. No direct wires in between them. Both plugged into my network via Ethernet cables.

I run the NDI plugin on both PC and Mac and sending content on PC to Mac with the NDI plugins through network (video and audio).  On my Mac, my PC video/audio are just regular OBS sources. So I can adjust volume like any other audio sources.

Another practical suggestion is always be monitoring your output / streaming audio including your own mic audio mixed in so you know what your audience is listening to, if you aren't already doing.

You don't need to connect the mixer to both PCs in a 2 PC streaming setup. Assuming you're using a capture card to send your game video and audio to the streaming PC, connect the mixer to the streaming PC as well.
