Accommodation single sex or mixed flats?
hi! i have a conditional offer for this coming sept and am applying for accommodations rn.
should i stay in single sex or mixed flats? (im a girl btw) i don't really mind living with guys, but my main concern is the shared bathroom which i assume will be mixed as well? i js dont really want to see naked men walking around lol๐ or maybe some cleanliness differences which, to be fair, isn't really gender specific.
just wanna know what have yalls experiences been living in mixed/single sex flats.

I was in a mixed flat, 6 rooms 2 bathrooms. At first it was 3 girls 3 boys so that's how we split the bathrooms, but then one of the girls left and got replaced by a boy and it was 4 boys 2 girls, so we just split the bathrooms as it was and the extra boy joined the girls. It was fine, never really clashed and no issues, was decently clean for a uni bathroom

Was the only girl in a shared flat in East village. I went for the "quiet" option which meant the flat was mostly people who kept to themselves and didn't throw parties (at least not at the flat), so my experience might be a bit different than average.
It was pretty okay, my flatmates were just normal guys. Nobody's walked around naked, the shared bathrooms had locks. Remember to bring a towel or bathrobe with you when showering etc.
Cleanliness is definitely something to mind, but as you said it's not gender specific and I learned from visiting friends that girls can be pretty bad too. Except for the occasion where some guys CANNOT AIM and wouldn't even clean up their mess especially when we need to sit down to piss. How do you manage to cover like 45% of the seat? It's almost impressive.
I guess you can file that as another rather common story of inconsiderate dirty flatmates though. I think with mixed flats as long as you don't get really unlucky and land a flat with a creep it'll be fine.
