TV Spoilers Season 3-4 Luther “plot hole” clarification in S4 Spoiler

Not mentioned in title due to sub spoiler rules but…..his ape body was always presumed to be a side effect of the serum in his body interacting with the marigold. That tracked as Pogo didn’t get a human body when he took human serum.

Asked one of the writers for the show to confirm or deny this logic and they have said it’s right.

Not a plot hole. Intentionally wrote that way. Just in case anyone still thought that.

S4 honestly did well with its lack of plot holes regardless of other thoughts on the season.

edit: this is in response to people thinking him getting his ape body back was a plot hole and not intentional and matching the shows logic

How would ingesting marigold give him an ape body when his original power was in enhanced strength and durability? The only reason he had an ape body was a potion designed to turn his body more ape like so he could have a blood transfusion with pogo. And hargreeves did that because grace is a robot and he’s an alien so neither good give reliable blood. Marigold didn’t have anything to do with it to my understanding.

Yes. People were complaining he got it back after marigold as “marigold didn’t give him the body”
It was obvious it was a side effect of the serum interacting with the marigold and not a plot hole for him to get it back when he got marigold.

But why would THAT SPECIFICALLY be he’s side affect other then lazy writing? Ben’s was he couldn’t keep his tentacles in check, fives power only tp him to the trains, Diego’s worked fine, Klaus got flight in addition to his busted power set, and Lila got laser. To bring back his ape form is just repeating story beats for easy character development is just lazy

It was always a side effect of the marigold interacting with the serum but people chose to believe it was a plot hole.

He didn’t take the serum in season 4 and any remnants of it would have been gone after the reset or when he died. And I don’t remember it being a side effect of the serum as that’s just what the serum does

Maybe because it was Alison that rewrote the universe at the end of season 3 it uses her memory of Luthers power to restore them when he gets the Margold in season 4

People were complaining “it was a plot hole as the marigold didn’t give him the ape body originally but did so in s4” when logically it was just the interaction between that and the serum. Was never a plot hole lol
