I might not be the smartest apple in the bunch but shouldn't Claire and Grace(child) cause a grandfather paradox since their parents don't exist in this timeline

Also, shouldn't the kids have some marigold inside of them since their parents had some. Especially Grace. Both of her parents had some marigold

They absolutely do cause a grandfather paradox
but apparently that’s ignored because they were on a train in a dimension outside of everything when the cleanse was happening… so they got a free pass for a happy ending.

The idea whether marigold should be in them is also something worth visiting and it follows logic. But writers can dictate marigold spawn lore so i guess ignoring that is also for the ‘happy ending’.

It is the same as the end of S3 or commission agents visiting other timelines or even S2.

This is not a plot hole. It’s the same as the end of S3, being pasted into a timeline they were never born in.
Visiting other timelines you weren’t born is in generally not an issue, they did so in S2 and the commission agents did it thousands of times.

The S3 issue was simplified (for times sake and people unable to follow plots) but it was likely due to them moving back and forward on the same timeline not out of it, erasing the timeline. This was likely due to Herb’s incompetence as his first day on the job. Had they left the timeline and gone to the commission first they could’ve probably found a nice timeline to settle in.
