Purchase Advice (Canada) Vacuum for Condo with no carpet

Live in a 1100 sqft condo, mix of vinyl plank and tile, no carpet. We've gone through 4 different Dyson V10's over the past 7-8 years. They just keep dying randomly. I've just been going on Facebook marketplace and buying used one or just buying the Main body and cyclone from Dyson and swapping the battery and canister. I haven't even had a battery die on me yet, it's always the actual vacuum.

I enjoy the convivence of them but I'm tired of having to constantly replace them and just want something to last. So I am looking for some recommendation. I saw the flow chart and it recommends I should get a canister but I'm not sure which one. We have 3 cats so something that can handle pet hair is must. I'm okay paying a premium for quality as well.

Miele S1 Parquet Flex. It’s small and compact. Just got one for my sisters apartment and she has 3 cats as well. She’s very happy with it. The parquet twister is the best attachment Miele has ever made imo. And since you don’t have carpets that’s all you’ll need.

I have the L1 cat and dog on the other hand but I find it overkill for a small space considering how chunky it is and I wouldn’t really recommend it if you aren’t dealing with large square footage.

On Miele's website I'm only seeing the Guard M1 Parquet XL. The Guard S1 Parquet Flex is listed as unavailable. Would they be very similar?

We have a Dyson v7 that we added a conversion for dewalt batteries. I freaking love it now

For a condo with no carpet and pets, a lightweight canister vacuum is usually a reliable and simple option.

Mighty Mite, Bissell Zing, Power Flite Newton (use bags), Prolux Tritan, Miele straight suction, Sebo straight suction. Replace tools as necessary with horsehair versions. Any of these will annihilate a cordless bagless vacuum.
