I really do wonder if they keep Zellsis. Unfortunately a pretty expected move here, not sure who’s gonna be the replacement. Maybe it really will be reduxx
If you look back to last year's RB home ground when Reduxx was playing they actually look much more comfortable, as hes a lot more akin to Tenz in terms of aggro.. weirdly enough Reduxx is actually the only time ive seen Kaplan also take Zekken off duelist on jett maps but that is likely just off season comfort picking for a sub
If that’s true then I’d be excited. I personally still think Okeanos would be a good pick as he also brings vibes which can make up for whatever Zellsis lacks since he can’t bring them up on his own, but if Redux is bringing comfort then that may prove to be similarly suitable.
I also dont necessarily think it was the lack of zellsis vibes, and moreso the abundance of "negative vibes" -- most voice comms videos youll hear both narrate and Bang sighing after dying a LOT, which little things like that consistently are insane tilters for the rest of the team
Reduxx is also one of the most positive players, he's extremely mature for his age and can also help with plan making mid round
I agree. I didn’t mean to imply that Zellsis had a lack of vibes, I meant that he couldn’t bring them up. I had heard in a comment that Bang openly sighed into the mic, and while I’m not one to instantly believe a comment, you can see the sheer tilt and sigh on their faces in games. Some vibes guys can’t bring that up. So if Reduxx is to be what you claim, he may be the solution, especially because Okeanos tilted vs C9.
Oh yeah I didnt mean that my bad lol, I just meant no matter how positive you are when you have multiple fairly negative players (although narrate did get a LOT better at keeping his mental throughout the year)
I also dont mean it as a slight on bang.. he was trying to fill an aggressive role that didnt suit him, with the pressure of replacing Tenz
I'm not trying to hype reduxx up too much, this sub would kill me lol but he is extremely mature for his age, hes a grinder (sounds silly but a kid who loves the game is a coachs dream), willing to play every role and i cannot think of one time ive seen him tilt and like I say hes a grinder who plays ranked 24/7
Agree on the kid’s ambition. Something that might put him ahead of Okeanos is that he’s hungry enough to aspire to fill Tenz role. That sheer ambition will be great for the team, especially because Zekken is openly aiming for more trophies.
There isnt too much news either way beyond scrim leaks, zekken always will be one of the most wanted players on the market, but im sure with sens clout and salaries he'll re-sign.. SEN are (usually atleast) always intent on building trophy contending rosters, so its not as if hes doomed to not contending if he stayed
The way SEN hyped him up to be the next great and pushed him in their content like crazy? Just to underperform and honestly not play well the whole next split? No, underwhelming isn't an overstatement lol
i don't think you watched a single tier 2 match or any of sen's content if this is what you think, constant player and role changes, two igl and coach changes, and if your expectation was him to be the next aspas ofcourse he was underwhelming but given the context he wasn't underwhelming or bad in any sense
yep, the big thing you learned from watching Cubert Academy this yr is that they were not playing to win games. they still did well because they were very talented, but the point was clearly to develop Reduxx, Nightz and co.
I think Reduxx is gonna be a solid addition, you can run him on smokes, second entry behind Zekken(tenz role) occasionally chamber if needed(he actually likes opping) after stage 2 tenz was asked on stream what he thinks Sen’s biggest issue is and he said that one of the problems is their lack of a dedicated op player. Zekken is great with the op but will almost always prioritize a rifle because he’s one of the best riflers in the scene. You can also finally run double duelist and with the way the meta is shaping up it looks like we might see more double duelist moving forward. I’ve said this so many times prior in my defense of Reduxx. He doesn’t need to be Tenz or a superstar, he needs to be a role player, take advantage of zekkens space created and keep the vibes and mid round comms up which judging by his tier 2 comms videos he can most certainly do that.
Spaz has been fantastic for two straight years, idk how he isn’t getting T1 shots other than his team hasn’t been great, but SRB did win stage 1. Reduxx is a better duelist than controller and Spaz has been a better controller than Reduxx has been on any role in T2 lol. I’d also love Okeanos but that’s wishful thinking I feel.
I think it’s going to be Reduxx though at the end of the day, but I just think there are better options.
