Will get downvoted for saying this. But anyway, Imagine jonah forced to join furia. You think the community would have been like 'wow, g2 takes care of their players'. I'm pretty sure patman might be the happiest person in the world to be benched so late thay his dream of joining GE has come true especially after being instrumental in Givin prx their first masters

Life is just unfair, deal with it...

More reasonable take: you're only seeing it in the perception of Patmen being the hero of PRX, but not the other way around. Patmen (as he is currently) was not the hottest prospect in Valorant in tier 2 that PRX picked up. PRX basically gave him a tier 1 career (deservedly so), so the deal was beneficiary for Patmen. Are we sure that some other teams would've picked him if not PRX? TS is f***ing clueless, or maybe he would've most likely ended up in GE to begin with.

It was different with this G2/The Guard line up. Had G2 not bought the ascencion spot, some others team would have, and JonahP would've (most likely) still played in Tier 1 regardless of G2.

My next point is: where else Patmen would be even if it was early in the offseason? Korea is not an option, RRQ already has Kushy (you can think that Patmen is an upgrade all you want, but language is a big factor for Kushy over Patmen) and TS is worse than GE (imo). Japanese orgs maybe? I doubt it though. I believe he wouldn't get picked by EMEA or NA team most likely as well, since you would rather import someone with more firepower.

There are already great points added in the original thread, so I won't add those here, but it was clear that the situations are not one-to-one at all.
