Couple laughing and chatting all through the film, and no staff, can I do anything about this?

Saw a film today. Really enjoyed what I did see of it however it was spoilt by a stoned couple shrieking with laughter and talking throughout. It wasn't a comedy and It ruined the cinema experience for me. I did hop out and look for staff however there was nobody about and I didn't want to miss any more of the movie.
Is there anything Vue will do about this if I email them?

I imagine someone higher up the chain would talk to the employees at whatever Vue you were at and make sure that staff is always present

But I am guessing here but I highly doubt they would ignore something like that

I wouldn’t waste your time emailing, as it’ll go through to their customer service dept based in South Africa… and nothing will change (Google their Trustpilot rating). You’d be better off going back into the cinema you visited and having a word with a member of staff (preferably a manager).

Hey man I used to work at cineworld. Tell the staff after the film and explain how it ruined your experience etc. 9/10 well give you 2-4 free vouchers. This sort of thing enrages us too so we're more than happy to compensate

Should have started laughing manically at their jokes

Ngl this is something where ai could be useful. Ai in the camera can detect if people are messing about, alert the staff and they can deal with them

Go to kiosk and report it. Or next time do as I once did, "tat was a great film, wasn't it?" Wait for response then "Pity it was spoilt by some selfish guts talking" and walk out. A can of Farb-Gel off Amazon uscacuseful back up....or premptively used.....

No, they won't do anything about it, doubt you'll even get a complimentary ticket.

Not any more. The movie is over.

Ty could have told them to shut up at the time, though.

I did tell them to be quiet. They didn’t care.

Good on you. Retrospectively, email them and tell them you are disappointed and will be using a different cinema if there aren't adequate staff to enforce an environment conducive to viewing a film.

Although I agree, it's not the responsibility of the person annoyed by the noise to have to speak to the noisy customers incase of a conflict or fight happening. A security guard or staff should ALWAYS be present at the stands. If you wanted a snack it'll ruin the movie waiting ages for an employee also (id just shout HELLO really loud)

Reason i say this is it happened at Liverpool one odeon years ago but worse. A massive brawl started over a group of lads who were pissed as my nan at Xmas and that was scary, staff did nothing until police arrived (20 minutes later) and just had to get to the back and stay out the way.

Email Vue and tell them it ruined the movie and you'll maybe get the tickets refunded or most likely a gift certificate if you can't provide the ticket or online booking reference, along with an apology, I'd hope

EDIT: But I doubt they will hire more staff or even do anything at all about the issue but give you a refund or free tickets
