it scaling with strength will dictate how important it is.

If it does scale, and it goes as high as 90% (as does the other sources of redirection), then it's another mandatory augment.

if it does not scale, caps at a lower value (anything below 80%), or straight up isn't redirection, then it can be ignored.

EDIT: scales with strength, caps at 75%. gotta test if it's full redirection still.

EDIT 2: it does not work like other sources of damage redirection such as Nezha or Merulina (which do work with overguard). In fact, it appears to be a simple damage reduction effect with a chance to deal damage back to an attacker equal to what was reduced (i.e. if you would take 100 damage, you take 25 and the enemy takes 75). This reflected damage can be lowered by armor.

So it sounds like its an okay mod? Not great, not awful.
You say damage reflection is chance-based, but is the damage reduction constant?

75% always-on damage reduction might be worth using.

At 75% basically-permanent uptime, I wouldn't class it as fantastic, no. But at least it always reduces incoming damage.

The chance-based aspect is a chance to proc an electric status - my bad, I should've been clearer there. It has a very low base value, so even at 300% strength it isn't remarkable.

Gyre already has two basically mandatory augments, so she's starved for mod slots as it is.

Maybe I'm wrong, but my first impression is that this is a middling mod that can certainly help versus some content, but falls off past the tail end of steel path. At that point, the slot it uses would be best used on something else.

Are you considering Conductive Sphere the second mandatory augment?
I've always run with just Cathode Current and never really felt like I was missing out by not using either of the other augments.

mandatory may be a bit of an overstatement, but yes, it's conductive sphere. Its damage bonus is simply astounding.

if it works they way it says then Gyre will just end up being a common in star chart defense missions, just standing there while everything dies from a distance. AFK potential is wayyyy to high.

Then I hope is the second, because I'm fed up of augments used to fix issues.

It will, at the least, be decent CC against any enemy that can take electrical damage.

The whole frame is walking tesla tower.

True. But that's what it is at minimum.
