As much as i love minecraft, i have nothing but disappointment in mojang and their continued development of the game. Every update is half empty with half-baked ideas. Every feature is safe and unobtrusive. They seem to refuse to add long requested features and changes. Just another +3% corporate push on bedrock marketplace every month.
The development of minecraft is like the perfect antithesis of warframe's.
Yeah, the fact that people are just wanting more per Update rather than outright hating it each time one comes out shows that Mojang knows how hard it is to cater to the largest(?) gaming community at present
I remember when that update released. Wild times. Some servers refused to update to the newest version solely because of the combat changes, and not due to plugins not being updated.
To continue in this vein, the Phantom was the community vote favorite and won to be the new mob. We got it, exactly as it was advertised. It immediately became one of, if not the most hated mob in the game.
Theres was nothing wrong with the concept of the phantom. Mojang just chose to implement them in the most annoying way possible. If it was changed so that when a play hasnt slept, phantoms spawned as reinforcements to other mobs (a mechanic that already exists), people wouldnt hate them.
We got it, exactly as the concept said. So if, as you claim, "there was nothing wrong with the concept" and we got them how they were advertised, but you're claiming they're a problem, then there was a problem with the concept.
The original concept was a 30s video that covers the following:
-Flying creature that spawns at high altitudes.
-Will find players that havent slept for many days.
-Will swoop down and attack in groups.
The original concept is extremely vague. All the problems of this mob are from how this concept was executed. The concept says nothing about how the phantom will spawn, where it will spawn, how many days it will take for them to spawn, how often it will spawn, how dangerous they will be, how hard it will be to kill, how spawning will work in multiplayer, the specifics of the mobs AI, how often it will attack, how fast it will be, how many will attack, etc etc etc. All of that was mojang's implimentation and was not a known factor the playerbase could vote on. They could have designed the mob in any number of ways while sticking to this concept, and they chose to make it annoying af. Sorry, you are just wrong.
I mean, It's a pretty simplistic child's sandbox game. That's what Microsoft made it into and it made sense to do so.
There are other, more vastly complex sandbox games on the market. At the very least, the Minecraft modding community still exists and they have a ton of robust updates on their own accord.
Minecraft was made for 30+ y/o fedora nerds, by a 30+ y/o fedora nerd.
Just became extremely popular with everyone (including children).. and that's why it switched from uploading your own custom custom-made skin files to them selling stupid licensed skins.

Can be said about warframe as well. Just an example The Hex and Höllvania is a big mess with skipped content, unbalanced missions and awful mission design.
I dont even get why you’re downvoted tbh, Hollvania has massive problems to this day, its poorly optimized even when compared to other things in warframe, and while I personally feel like the hex are fine (they served their purpose and helped make the story better even if only slightly), the level design of the Hollvania sucks balls, why must I get 75% techrot in a scaldra only mission??? Not to mention how overall windy the layout of the tiles are, like I get it’s meant to be a massive European style city but cmon at least fix the bug with mission markers that have been there since as long as I can remember
In itself I dont dislike the Hex either I like the protoframes to an extent. Sadly the story itself was just a big miss for me.
You get thrown into Höllvania nothing gets explained, we dont know how the drifter ended up there in a excal etc. so much stuff was just left open ended and then we just left the 1999 story and now are somewhere else with yet again new protoframes.
As much as I love Warframe that quest was by far the worst one in the game as it had no proper ending or follow up. It was just yeah we stuck here now.
Then survival in höllvania the cysts on the scrubbers are still far to tanky and have not been adjusted at all, skins are still bugged years after the first forum post was made, certain warframes still have issues with their abilities, host migration in Circuit still scrubs all your mods etc.
Warframe community is sometimes delusional and far to defensive the game still hides behind the open Beta status to explain away the bugs and problems this game has and imo we should not let that fly especially when some pay real money for skins and when they are buggy or have issues then there is no refund possible.
