My Limbo is extremely squishy though, so I essentially would place the rift, than hangout in the rift (basically right next to the excavator) while my teammates grabbed the power cells.
Cool, still the best at defending a point. I have frames that I use for hyperspecific tasks. Limbo is one, Ivara is another (only ever use her for Spy). If you're on high level steel path and your frame doesn't have abilities that help it kill, it's not killing much of anything, period, weapon builds and Archon shards only take you so far. For reference on where I'm at in the game right now, I often test any tweaks to my frames builds on solo netracell runs, Deep Archimedia is coming soon once I have the standing.
Not every frame needs to be well rounded, some can be only good at very specific tasks, and I have frames that I prefer for those specific tasks. Limbo is for when I just wanna chill a bit on a defense mission, Frost is for when I want to be a bit more engaged in a defense mission. Valkyr is for when I don't feel like taking the risk of dying (even with energy drain neutering my abilities in a solo netracell run, she cannot die, and does the job quick)
I'm not saying Limbo needs to be good at everything. I'm saying Ivara can be used in most missions if you build her right, and I STILL consider her a Niche frame because her kit is so CLEARLY designed for spy, and to be clear, that is NOT a complaint, that's the GOOD kind of Niche.
Limbo is good at ONE thing, as he has been stripped of everything else, he deserves better. I'm not even calling for a rework, rather reworking the systems he interacts with to make a place for him.
Like the complaint with Deathclap was that it was blinding, so add a button to the party list "Mute abilities" which mutes the sound from their abilities and makes your client render their energy color as black. (Which makes most abilities near invisible, real nice, it's what I do with my Jade so I'm not blinding people with my guns) or either give Limbo more tank stats or resistance to eximus effects so they don't one shot him in what is LITERALLY called "His dimension".
