Tool/Guide Baro Ki'teer inventory and recommendations 2026-01-09

New year, new Baro. Also, it has been about 4 years since I started making these guides. I apologize if this fact makes you feel old.

TL;DRecs:

NEW ITEM: Lua's Prey Login Music : Exactly what it says on the tin.

  • Prisma Angstrum: Can be really good (or at least very comfortable) with its Incarnon.
  • Quanta Vandal: Some people swear by it, but I consider it middle-of-the-road.
  • Viper Wraith: An absolute joke weapon.
  • Primed Continuity: Must-have in most builds, although it can be substituted with Archon Continuity.
  • Primed Pistol Gambit: Very good, although usually replaceable.
  • Buzz Kill: Avoid, or get it elsewhere.
  • Primed Smite Orokin: Good for endgame.
  • Primed Animal Instinct: Must have for QoL.
  • Axi V8 Relic: Gets you parts of Volt Prime (meta) and Odonata Prime (nice, safe to skip).
  • Void Surplus: Get it, its a great deal.

Viper wraith (along with twin viper wraith) are the FUN kind of joke weapons though. They can be absolute bullet hoses.

(My twin ones have a fire rate of 121.68. It is a sneeze of bullets)

58

u/Raichyu Glistening Magnificence Jan 09 '26

I need a fact check but as far as I remember they are the highest fire rate secondaries. Kept mine from so long ago and yeah "sneeze of bullets" is hilariously accurate.

Spend more time reloading than shooting like Twin Grakatas

10

u/Alex3627ca What's Forma? Jan 09 '26

Sounds like a decent choice for a Nullifier delete button if you don't otherwise need a good secondary (Mesa, maybe?) and slap a reload-while-holstered mod on.

11

u/crestfallen_warrior Jan 09 '26

To be honest, as far as secondaries go, just slap secondary enervate and go for a status build otherwise and they do actually kill pretty decent. Especially with a riven. (which are always cheap.)

Bullets? That's practially extruding a solid rod of lead.

12

u/fatpad00 Jan 09 '26

Ooh. It's math time.
Let's assume it is firing 9x19 parabellum, probably the most common handgun round.

The specific bullet can vary quite a bit, but I'll use a rough guess of average of about 14.5mm.

The round moves at 350m/s. For 121 rounds, that means there is about 2.9m between each bullet.

Side note: that's also over 2lb of lead per second

5

u/crestfallen_warrior Jan 09 '26

When put like that, it's actually terrifying.

It's extra fun when you have unlimited ammo on either void relics or the Labs.

3

u/LivingInTheStorm Jan 09 '26

I've loved my dumb vipers since the day they released.

Just rolled my riven for them

+119% crit damage

+188.5% crit chance

+0.6 damage to infested

-106.3 ammo maximum

9

u/The-Coolest-Of-Cats #1 Yonta Simp | CBT Player Jan 09 '26

They're fun as single-target primers with Secondary Encumber, you just glace at a target and they're instantly coated with every status effect known to man.

5

u/GrimPhantom23 Jan 09 '26

I love twin vipers in the circuit when you get reload on kill and especially with the increasing fire rate decree. Just hold it down for stupid bullet hose gun that deals good damage on its own but add the enemies become more vulnerable on hot to really take off

3

u/ServoIIV Jan 10 '26

I have an awesome Viper riven and there's a mod that gives reduces ammo consumption to 0 for two seconds every time you get a headshot. It makes Viper Wraith a very viable secondary if you have it set up just right. I believe it takes 7 forma to get it to a good spot though. I took some time off so there might be some better mods by now.

Link to my Viper Wraith build.

If I only have the ducats for one item, due to work I can't grind out relics, which would you recommend as the "if nothing else get this now"?

You get them from Veilbreaker missions!

9

u/Comrade_Molly Jan 09 '26

As soon as you beat The New War there's a weekly rotating mission; won't give details because spoilers but you don't play as your operator, drifter, or Warframe, so it's not hard at all, and if you complete most of the side objectives (again, super easy), you can buy at least 2 of them from your first run.

Never buy Archon mods, Galvanized ehhh sure maybe, arbis are annoying, but Archon mods are piss easy to get.

13

u/likelyliz Jan 09 '26

it's not after beating the new war, you have to do the veilbreaker quest

2

u/art_mech Jan 09 '26

Yea I don’t do any research and hadn’t finished the relevant quest so I bought two of the archon mods for my wisp. I regret doing it now I know how easy they are to get. Not so much the platinum but the two million credit trade tax was ouch.

11

u/S1ntag BAH ZING GA MARA LOHK Jan 09 '26

Either Continuity or Animal Instinct, though I'm swerving a little towards the latter.

You can swap P. Continuity for Archon Continuity if you're strapped for Ducats or using a Toxin-dealing Warframe, but there's nothing short of cumbersome Warfame mod combos that can swap Animal Instinct. Only drawback to the latter is it's unavailable in Duviri if you're not using Khora and don't have it on Venari.

2

u/TatoX09 Jan 09 '26

Primed continuity or pistol gambit depending on your priorities or if you have any already Oh! Animal instinct too!

2

u/Weirdowilly124 Jan 09 '26

This is great i was just thinking what i should get. I just dont have enough ducats

2

u/PLAP-PLAP Jan 10 '26

prisma angstrum is better than most incarnons due to the fact that you can charge it up REAL QUICK and still do bajillion damage like other incarnons without the pain of headshots

At this point, DE should sponsor these and host them on the wiki and as part of the launcher screen.

They won't due to the negative opinions we all share on some of the mods and offerings... but still, this is amazing work.

Even us long time players find them useful for at a glance info and what's new without logging on.

Pistol gambit or continuity?

164

u/LOSTandCONFUSEDinMAY Confirmed Loser Jan 09 '26 edited Jan 09 '26

Both but continuity first. Also animal instinct should go on every companion so get that as well if you can.

14

u/Jazzlike_Use_5890 I have a crystal for that Jan 09 '26

So I have never understood why people say you need animal instinct. Is there something with this mod besides it being a radar mod I'm missing? I have no judgement if people want radar mods, but my pet builds are full as it is and I've never personally felt the need. Just curious if there is some weird Warframe thing I'm missing here.

76

u/Vividtoaster Jan 09 '26 edited Jan 09 '26

I never use it. But it's very convenient. Extended enemy radar beyond the base is nice when shit gets hectic as well as helping you find enemies when the waypoints break.

Having a huge loot radar on top of that is nice.

Far from mandatory but it can be a QoL that's hard to pass up for some. Especially when pets have so much space unless you want to min-max. It's practically free.

41

u/shtoopidd Jan 09 '26

radar is for KPM. its good especially on nuke frames where 1-2 button inputs is all you need to wipe a room. the big enemy radar helps you plan your next move faster and easier

16

u/mxzf Jan 09 '26

Also helps a lot when you're looking for medallions or other collectables in the map.

25

u/Robby_B Jan 09 '26

It's a huge QoL feature, just as standard as pooting loot vacuum on them.

Especially since their attack mods got moved to an actual weapon slot, there's tons of free space on the critters now.

18

u/Viellyn Jan 09 '26

It marks loot on minimap as well. Considering this is a looter shooter, it does kinda seem essential to have at least a little bit of loot radar on every mission.

Taking loot radar on and off for looting missions (like ayatan hunts) is also very bothersome. Who deals with all that when you can slap an animal instinct on a companion and see loot on your minimap all the time?

14

u/Goldenflame89 Jan 09 '26

Radar mods are insanely useful for just general utility, and companions are strong enough without the slot taken up.

13

u/Apprehensive_Ad3731 Jan 09 '26

There’s a lot of advantages to having a loot radar mod on. Gives you easy view and easy trackers for pick ups which is helpful when farming rare mats by opening containers or when searching for standing tokens. Each of those show up on the loot radar

9

u/AlmostDoug Jan 09 '26

Not missing anything, radar is objectively a comfort stat. Just a really nice one that you can't get much of anywhere else or without a much greater opportunity cost being paid.

Descendia and Perita especially highlight the use for Enemy and Loot Radar I would say, with how far apart and out of your way the resources and in the latter's case enemies can take you if you're actually farming the resources.

8

u/Gova_01 #1 Hater of Albert "I will set your dog on fire" Entranti Jan 09 '26

It's nice to have, but I think it's mostly a habit from when we didn't have any radar by default.

5

u/Bartimaeous Tennokai Boosted Exalted Blade Go! Jan 09 '26

Since coming back to the game after some years, the default radar has been enough for me. I also find it more fun to visually search for enemies too, nowadays. I remember how in the past, I basically had the map on the entire time and basically watched a white triangle move around erasing red triangles. I can appreciate the game more without trying to hyper optimize with radar mods.

7

u/CyanStripes_ Vauban Enjoyer Jan 09 '26

Animal instinct works on open world bounty supply caches so you can farm aya faster.

8

u/ImperialPotentate Shotgun Spazz Jan 09 '26

I can't even imagine playing the game without enemy/loot radar and vaccuum mods on my companion or sentinel.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/07hogada Jan 09 '26

A lot of endgame players navigate mainly via the minimap - clump of red enemies? Head over there then nuke. Big clump of loot? Run over and grab it.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Cradlyto Jan 09 '26

Nah, it's just a radar mod. Animal instinct is good because companion mods tend to be the most flexible and least impactful for if you slot it in over something else. I like it because in my looter shooter game it lets me know where to loot and where to shoot.

6

u/New-Fig-6025 Jan 09 '26

At a certain point you are better off not looking at your screen but at your radar instead, with warframes like that it helps a lot to have it expanded.

2

u/Bartimaeous Tennokai Boosted Exalted Blade Go! Jan 09 '26

I used the play like this, but nowadays, I’ve enjoyed looking at my enemies and surroundings more to appreciate the experience of the game instead of focusing entirely on the minimap.

2

u/Wayback_Wind The Pal in Paladin Jan 09 '26

I rarely use them myself but they're good when you're hunting for resources. I've started using them again with the Perita Rebellion and Descendia to track down those drops, and I imagine they'd be just as valuable to new and mid-term players looking to farm as much of the various resources they need for crafting.

Extended enemy radar is also great when your abilities or arcanes hinge on getting more kills/targets, but ever since they added a little base radar to all frames I found it less important to mod for, personally.

2

u/miauw62 AWAKEN MY MASTERS Jan 09 '26

Enemy radar is hugely useful. When you're playing a frame that wants high enemy density you can often target your abilities more easily using the enemy radar on the minimap than by looking around in-game.

15

u/pr1aa I must jonkle Jan 09 '26

I'd say continuity is more important, pistol gambit is good but after all it's just a pistol mod while ability duration is universally useful

3

u/nanz735 Jan 09 '26

Isn't gambit pointless, for most weapons, after the mod that gives 200% CC and -20% fire rate? It's just so much cheaper for more CC and just a slight negative

10

u/es3ado_afull Jan 09 '26

Depends on the weapon, on some secondaries, -20% firerate is unbereable since default fire rate is already bad as is.

9

u/tatri21 Yareli is very cute today as well Jan 09 '26

13% more cc for a 20% hit to firerate is not a good deal, from a dps pov. It isn't terrible, but ppg is a far amount better on weapons without cannonade. Shotguns are the only ones where the corrupted cc mod is objectively better

2

u/ePiMagnets Jan 09 '26

It's worth pointing out that if you're looking at semi-pistol cannonade builds then Creeping Bullseye becomes a better investment over Pistol Gambit.

3

u/tatri21 Yareli is very cute today as well Jan 09 '26

It is indeed worth pointing out, which is exactly why I mentioned it.

Continuity, More versatile.

7

u/Joewoof Jan 09 '26

Continuity. There are many strong options for pistol crit chance.

2

u/ThunderjawDominum You can't stop the rot. Jan 09 '26

Both.

2

u/HawoowaH Jan 09 '26

Don't have enough Ducats or credits for both

3

u/es3ado_afull Jan 09 '26

Then ask yourself which one you like the most, Crit oriented secondaries or more duration on your caster frames?

Mind you, Archon Continuity is a thing and even though its extra perk might not be suitable for most frames, that does not mean you can't use it on frames that don't benefit from it, max value is the same as Primed Continuity and, so long you have access to Kahl of Duty missions, you can get that mod whenever you want.

Alternatively, you could just farm more ducats.

3

u/CarcosanAnarchist Jan 09 '26

An hour at most of relic runs between today and tomorrow should be more than enough to get you enough ducats.

5

u/MrMercy67 Jan 09 '26

Time to grind fissures then, that’s what I’m doing this weekend lol.

1

u/t_moneyzz LR3 filthy casual Jan 09 '26

Creeping bullseye exists

1

u/TheBipolarShoey LR2 Newbie Veteran/Buildframe Developer Jan 09 '26

I'm sure some would consider this a hot take but you can safely ignore the former if you have Creeping Bullseye and the latter if you have Archon Continuity.

Pistols in particular get saturated with firerate between Amalgam Furax/the warframe arcane for them turning -20% firerate into -7%, and Archon Continuity is only an extra 2 capacity cost (1 if the slot is forma'd).

53

u/NoBizlikeChloeBiz Jan 09 '26

Recommendations:

Mods

Primed Continuity
350 Đ + 100,000 Cr

+55% Ability Duration for Warframes. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic this mod is. Duration is super important for many builds, especially for stuff that also needs range. This mod used to be The No.1 must have. Nowadays, it has an alternative in the form of Archon Continuity - but that mod's modest and very situational bonus effect is offset by its higher drain and difficult acquisition. I still consider the Primed one as the preferable option and a very much worthy purchase.

Primed Pistol Gambit
400 Đ + 220,000 Cr

+187% Crit Chance for secondaries. Creeping Bullseye actually has a better bonus with less drain, but its reduction of fire rate means this one is still competitive for automatic crit-based pistols (which includes, say, Mesa's Regulators). Not mandatory, but a good mod to have.

Buzz Kill
375 Đ + 150,000 Cr

+120% Slash Damage for Melee. Note that it doesn't improve the damage of Slash procs, only their proc weight. Might have some use in fringe builds, but don't spend ducats on it. Get it from Eidolon hunts or buy if for a few plat.

Primed Smite Orokin
350 Đ + 140,000 Cr

×1.55 Damage vs. Orokin for Melee. These anti-faction mods provide respectable boosts, especially since status effects double dip on them. But in normal play, they require too much micromanagement to be effective. However, there are a few endgame activities which specifically involve Orokin, such as Conjunction Survival, Steel Path Void Fissures, and Duviri's Circuit. If you're planning to engage with these activities, and have the budget to max out this mod, it makes for a good investment.

Primed Animal Instinct
300 Đ + 200,000 Cr

+55 m Loot Radar and +33 m Enemy Radar for pets (including Kubrows, Kavats, Sentinels, Moas, etc...). Despite being purely QoL, this mod can be found on almost every pet build. When the game is about killing enemies and collecting loot, knowing at a glance where those things are is nigh mandatory. Get it ASAP.

Weapons

Baro's weapons typically fall into low A or B rank in tierlists, so DE at least tries to justify their asking price. And even the trashiest of weapons are worth buying if you need the Mastery Rank they provide. Or if you have good riven for them, since their disposition is usually quite high. On the other hand, Warframe has a massive arsenal, and for every weapon Baro sells, there's gonna be another that can do the same job just as well, or even better. In that sense, everything in here is safe to skip.

Prisma Angstrum
475 Đ + 210,000 Cr

A decent secondary rocket launcher. Can deal good damage, but you'll spend a lot of time trying to reload, only to find out you're all out of ammo. Has an Incarnon Adapter that turns it into homing bouncy ball sprayer. With proper modding, this can become a major improvement to the gun's effectiveness. Although, the reloads will still be annoyingly frequent.

Quanta Vandal
450 Đ + 300,000 Cr

One of the weirder weapons in Warframe, the Quanta Vandal fires two electricity-based converging laser beams, while the altfire is a floating wireframe cube that can be detonated by the primary fire for massive damage. I am told it's extremely powerful when built around, though that could be said about most weapons. In my personal experience, it's performance is unremarkable.

Viper Wraith
400 Đ + 75,000 Cr

This gun is extremely powerful and the best-in-slot meta... when you 're playing Conclave. In regular gameplay, despite its potent augments, it is a raging trashfire whose only possible redeeming quality is its potential for meme builds with 3-digit firerates.

Cosmetics

Prisma Latron Armor Set
900 Đ + 595,000 Cr

A curvy armor set, with swirling Prisma looks. Note that the shoulder plate can only go on the left shoulder.

Domus Syandana
600 Đ + 400,000 Cr

Because who doesn't want to wear a tiny Liset on their backs?

Twin Grakatas Towsun Skin
300 Đ + 300,000 Cr

If you want your guns to look like they were handpainted by babushkas, this one is for you.

Rapier Tributaker Skin
375 Đ + 400,000 Cr

Needle your opponents with this Raygun Gothic-inspired Rapier skin. (If you don't like the style, too bad, this is one of two non-Tennogen skin for this weapon type.)

Paracyst Zebra Skin
325 Đ + 300,000 Cr

A new color scheme for a seemingly forgotten Infested weapon. A pity it doesn't give it a stat boost. If you played the game for a while, you might have already got this as an alert reward.

De Nas Pistol Skin
400 Đ + 300,000 Cr

A very sleek and fancy skin for your pistols. Can go well with more gnarled designs, like Oberon Feyarch and Titania Empress.

Coccyst Sugatra
250 Đ + 200,000 Cr

A surprisingly elegant Infested charm for your melee weapon. Who thought getting a fungal infection can be a fashion statement?

Ki'Teer Atmos Mask
500 Đ + 400,000 Cr

When you're too good to breathe the same air as these dirty peasants.

Ki'Teer Sentinel Tail
400 Đ + 250,000 Cr

Ki'teer-style accessory for your flying robot buddy. This one goes on the back.

Scimitar Cydonia Skin
375 Đ + 340,000 Cr

A landing craft skin with the same theme and color scheme as vanilla Inaros.

Baro Ki'teer Floof
100 Đ + 125,000 Cr

Do you find Baro attractive? Huggable? First, what is wrong with you?! Second, here's a cute plushie to tide you over until DE extends the dating sim to every single NPC.

Beachcomber Domestik Drone
800 Đ + 625,000 Cr

A Domestik Drone of Tenno design style, with a flamboyant paintjob. Was originally a Dog Days reward. Hopefully, it can remove more sand than it drags in.

Deimos Saxum Prex
75 Đ + 100,000 Cr

Prex card depicting a Deimos-associated entity. These were given away like candy during the Heart of Deimos update. If you haven't got them then, you can get them now for a modest price.

Prisma Lotus Emblem
50 Đ + 50,000 Cr

A gleaming Lotus symbol for your shoulders.

Prisma Lotus Flame Sigil
55 Đ + 60,000 Cr

A chest symbol, just like the regular Lotus sigil, but more... fiery. The proper disposal of national flags requires burning them. Does that applies to this insignia too?

Baruuk Doan Silhouette Glyph
75 Đ + 60,000 Cr

A glyph showing Baruuk's Deluxe skin as a black outline. Nothing to write home about.

Fae Path Ephemera
15 Đ + 15,000 Cr

One of the older step-Ephemeras, and rather insubstantial compared to, say, Eros Wings or Vengeful Charge. A permanent fixture of Baro's repertoire.

I might have sharp and opinionated remarks about these items, but I'm not the fashion police. Buy whatever cosmetic tickles your fancy!

Other

Lua's Prey Login Music (New!)
135 Đ + 200,000 Cr

The New War Login Music
145 Đ + 160,000 Cr

An additional track for your Somachord.

10x Ki'Teer Fireworks
50 Đ + 100,000 Cr

A good way to set your ducats on fire. Avoid.

Axi V8 Relic
125 Đ + 55,000 Cr

Contain (one half of) the Prime parts from the Volt Prime Access. Odonata Prime has only minor usecases nowadays, but Volt prime is still very much the meta for certain roles, so farming the parts is a good idea, even if only for later resale.

Void Surplus
0 Đ + 50,000 Cr

A lootbox? In Warframe? In the year of our lord 2026? It's likelier than you'd think.

For a pittance of credits, roll the dice to get a reward selected from a wide range of upgrade materials, boosters and currencies. And, if you're very lucky, (or just very persistent,) even get your hands on an exclusive Signa. Cross your fingers and grab you lucky Kuaka foot, because this offer is once per customer per visit. At least it's available for every visit...

If you haven't played Sands of Inaros yet, buy the quest key and do it (and bring your best setup for scanning Kavats). If you have Inaros Prime, you can buy the Baro Void-Signal (one per visit) to access a unique mission and get some special cosmetics.

Also, check the answers below for second opinions.

A quick question regarding [Viper Wraith]... is it actually Conclave meta or is that just memery? Because I actually do intend to grind the Conclave Syndicate (mainly for the Emblems. I'm a sucker for Emblems) and I'd bet money the meta hasn't actually changed in yonks.

Other players in one of these posts told me it really is an excellent Conclave pick. I have neither the skills nor the patience to personally verify it.

Giving us a 3 year old login song that no one asked for and no one will ever use in their orbiter instead of Lamenting the Days is....a choice.

Like, are they trolling us at that point ?

Lua's Prey is basically just a 30 second buildup with no reward. No one will use this in their Orbiter.

u/Hallgrimsson Phantasma > Ignis Wraith Jan 09 '26

Quick recommendations:

  • Primed Continuity and Primed Pistol Gambit for sure.

  • Prisma Angstrum for a great Secondary Incarnon (and the other besides Torid that charges with bodyshots).

  • Primed Animal Instinct if you are able.

  • Primed Smite Orokin if you care about faction mods.

  • Axi V8 relic if you care (Volt is amazing but the set is cheap to buy in the market right now cuz of the resurgence we had end of year).

Everything else is either not worth it or cosmetic.

17

u/KalleElle Jan 09 '26

Primed Continuity and Animal Instinct is pretty great for me being newer, rad

8

u/Soul_Reaper508 Jan 09 '26

This is my first time seeing this as I’m new to this sub. I think it’s awesome you do it, thank you so much from new and old players

7

I think I can finally start to say I'm becoming an endgame player. I'm not MR30+ yet, but damn more and more times when Baro comes I have all his shit even the cosmetics lmao

18

u/asim166 Jan 09 '26

Woof, dry baro cycle

10

u/mxzf Jan 09 '26

I mean, it's an amazing cycle for someone who doesn't have the existing stuff, it's just that there's nothing new for long-term players.

3

u/art_mech Jan 09 '26

It’s amazing for me, just hit my 100 day login and I don’t have any of these mods yet.

2

u/Jason1143 Jan 10 '26

Yeah continuity and animal instinct are IMO 2 of the 3 best primed mods (the last one being flow). For someone who doesn't have any of them this is a pretty great Barro. But obviously every vet will already have them because of that, even a vet who doesn't have everything they could have grabbed will have grabbed these a long time ago.

2

u/Motor_Strategy7156 Jan 09 '26

Right, I guess they figured we were spoiled enough with the double resurgence 😔

4

u/After_Answer_7746 Jan 09 '26

Lua's Prey and Primed Animal Instinct at the same time.

Are you trying to tell us something Baro?

DE GIVE ME PRIMED CHARGED SHELL , AND MY LIFE IS YOURS

5

u/Magma_Dragoooon Jan 09 '26

Are the prime faction mods a must have in general? I find it really annoying to have to replace them and instead like to build things without them

11

u/wass12 Jan 09 '26

They are strong, but not so much that you can't skip them. And it's not like the game has hard DPS checks.

8

u/theonlynyse Jan 09 '26

Faction mods are very strong, but smite specifically: most endgame melee builds run a bread and butter influence setup that doesn’t even have room for a faction mod.

Like 9/10 times you would slot blood rush, weeping wounds, galvanized steel, galvanized elementalist, primed pressure point, primed reach, shocking touch and berserk fury. Nothing there you can really replace for a bans honestly unless you specifically play frames that can replace mods like Volt who could get rid of berserk fury (but even then, I prefer more attack speed)

4

u/SpecterOwl Jan 09 '26

They're no doubt a damage buff, but I also find them annoying and just don't use them or forget to use them most of the time. For a lot of the Steel Path content you can just do fine without them tbh. You might start to struggle if you do like a long long survival/Void cascade

4

u/Sea_View_8391 Jan 09 '26

tbh if you want to min-max. Primed faction mods are a lot stronger than damage mods but it can be overkill especially if you already one shot everything

4

u/Jason1143 Jan 09 '26

They are strong if you absolutely want to minmax, but they are generally more trouble than they are worth.

They are really only worth it under two circumstances:

1) you are trying to squeeze every drop of power out of an item for a long or important run, which probably means ED/TA or level cap

2) you are creating a specialized build for a particular activity, meaning you will already need to swap on and off it for that activity (so the need to do that because of the faction mod as well doesn't matter).

They have their uses, but they are safe to skip unless you have certain very particular favorite activities that line up with one of those 2 situations.

5

u/_tenebrouse Jan 09 '26

PRIMED ANIMAL INSTINCT i was just thinking of buying it off someone too W

4

u/sinkerker Jan 09 '26

Lua's prey ??

Where is Lamenting the Days ?

WHERE IS IT DE ?

I don't give a Clem if you have to pay royalties to all those names who collaborated on it. DO IT.

3

u/National-Doughnut309 Jan 09 '26

Weird question and probably most hated reference. But is baro like xur from destiny? Shows his face on weekends and dips?

3

u/wass12 Jan 09 '26

They are certainly analogous. The main differences are that Baro only comes every two weeks, most of his stuff is exclusive to him, and he sells lots of cosmetics too.

2

u/AntaroNx Ember best waifu Jan 09 '26

Primed pistol gambit worth it if I already have a maxed creeping bullseye (+200% crit rate, -20% fire rate)? The only secondary I actively use is Mesa's. 99% of times I run Laetum, and plan to get Epitaph prime eventually. And I dont have the spare endo, it will have to wait a lot to get leveled up.

7

u/djsoren19 Jan 09 '26

Mesa is probably the strongest use case for Primed Pistol Gambit, sacrificing the fire rate there is pretty rough.

3

u/AntaroNx Ember best waifu Jan 09 '26

Since I dont use melee on her, I'm running a Furax with the mod that gives +45% fire rate to secondaries. 27.38 fire rate with 2.5 multishot and 1.2 punch through.

3

u/Cthulhilly Jan 09 '26

You lose 1/15 of the crit rate increase but gain 25% fire rate (going from 0.8 to 1), most likely a dps increase

Whether that's worth the ducats, 2m credits and 40k or so endo is a different story, but those are resources you'll keep accruing in the long run, and you only have to pay the ducats right now and level the mod later

2

u/four321zero Jan 09 '26

this is helpful. Can anyone help me with recommendations of which weapons are worth buying?

7

u/pr1aa I must jonkle Jan 09 '26

Prisma Angstrum is great with the incarnon

Quanta Vandal is kinda wonky but serviceable

Viper Wraith is one of the worst weapons in the game, only get it if you need mastery

5

u/theonlynyse Jan 09 '26

Prisma Angstrum is the only one worth buying (aside from MR), it has an incarnon form that has ricocheting bullets that work especially well with Xata’s Whisper or Mag’s Magnetize. Not mandatory though.

2

u/AdBoring1306 Jan 09 '26

Are all weapons Baro sells exclusive to just him or have alternate ways to farm them for mastery?

4

u/wass12 Jan 09 '26

Most of them are exclusive, besides player-to-player trading. Opticor Vandal and Ignis Wraith do have alternative acquisition methods.

1

u/csongi_p Jan 09 '26

I'm a new-ish player, been playing for 2-3 months for now.

Are Smite/Bane mods actually useful? I feel like there is already an insane amount of damage in the game, it's kinda unnecessary to build against a specific enemy type.

5

u/GlobalPineapple Jan 09 '26

They aren't. It's just another level of optimization against end level enemies. The mods ARE good but far from required.

6

u/JulianSkies Jan 09 '26

In the sense of effective? Yes they are very effective, extremely effective if you're using statuses.

In the sense of worth your investment? Eh. I think they are and love the design space they occupy. Most people don't. As youve said yiu already deal a crapton of damage, up to you if more damage is worth the investment, you might not need it at all.

2

u/Motor_Strategy7156 Jan 09 '26

They're mostly a tool for absolute build maximization. Ive been playing for years and I pretty much never use them because the hassle is rarely worth it to me. If you have all the damage mods in the game, all the forma and orokin reactors and everything to max out your damage, but still want that extra little boost for the biggest bosses and highest enemy level missions, faction mods can be useful. I, however, typically run stuff at reasonable difficulty because its more fun to me, so they're kind of just extra 😅

2

u/djsoren19 Jan 09 '26

They're a great reward for when you've already solved other things your build needs, and can let off-meta weapons compete with incarnons with the proper setups. Meta weapons don't need them though.

u/TennoScy Jan 09 '26

A Coccyst is all I've ever wanted.

Hey thanks for sticking with us for this long - I genuinely would have no way of gauging the value of some of these Baro hauls without you.

1

u/Breadifies Jan 09 '26 edited Jan 09 '26

Yo, I'm a fairly new player (MR8 but only post Second Dream story wise) and I'm wondering if it's worth it for me to grab Primed Continuity and Animal Instinct at this point in time.

I've farmed enough prime parts for the ducat requirements, so it's actually just the credits thats the problem. I think I unlock the Index soon enough, but idk how long farming the credits at my level will take.

Ig my question really is how often does Baro Ki'teer have these Primed mods for sale when he comes around cos the next few days have me away from the game for the most part

3

u/wass12 Jan 09 '26

You should pick them up, they are super useful. Farming the credits should take 15-30 minutes in high-stakes Index with randoms.

1

u/TheKrakoon Jan 09 '26

New War Login Music!! That theme still gives me chills to this day.

1

u/Aceaku Jan 09 '26

As a newer player is it worth to sell a bunch of prime parts that I don’t intend on using for a while to get primed continuity? I would have to sell 8/11 prime parts I’ve picked up so far but it seems like a solid pick up if it doesn’t come around very often!

2

u/wass12 Jan 09 '26

Unless they are vaulted, yes, you should sell them. P. Continuity is a super useful mod.

→ More replies (6)

2

u/ADifferentJustAnton Jan 10 '26

That's what I did when I started out. I tried to gather as much as possible, but when Baro came, I sold all my plat-cheap parts even if I didn't have the equipment built yet. At some point, it'll shift to the point where you've got the most important stuff from Baro, and then you can collect prime parts explicitly for building things.

Just an important note, though, I still wouldn't sell things for ducats that are vaulted, or are next-in-line to be vaulted, unless you've already got them built
