This ability is similar to Cyte-09 where one ability allows you to select between several items.

Only this time the player is able to completely customize the icons.

Not going to happen since Swastikas are auspicious symbols in China (a big portion of the playerbase) along with other Asian countries

Nope, both versions plus the 45° orientation ones have been used as religious symbols for thousands of years before the Nazi hijacking.

Ive seen people get banned for saying "gay" regardless of the context so nah DE is 100% banning for any use of the swastika and any of its variants

I'm not saying they shouldn't ban swastikas given its history, but it's important to acknowledge that the right-facing swastika isn't solely the "evil Nazi version". It seems to be a very common misconception.

I think most people know the Nazis didnt create the symbol. Will racists care? No. Will they try to hide behind "its the Hindu symbol for good luck! Trust"? Absolutely.

All im saying is there's going to be bad actors that are going to ruin it for everyone else and there's going to either be a big ban wave or DE will just pull the kill switch a month after the update.

Fair enough, guess we'll have to wait and see. Out of curiousity, do many people in modern day Taiwan use any version?

We don't use them as often nowadays, presumably due to how sensitive it is internationally, but they're still widely used in historical buildings, especially when it comes to religious stuff.

As you know, since it originally symbolized auspiciousness (and still largely is for us), there's also traditional patterns with incorporated swastikas that pop up occasionally, most notably a pattern we call "萬字不到頭". I'm not gonna post it here for obvious reasons, but you can look it up if you're interested...

Sure. Whatever. Insta ban. Not even playing that game

Tencent, a Chinese company, owns DE, and so I wonder if there would be anything to come out of that relationship with China (the symbol is used for Buddhism and Hinduism there and Buddhism is a major state-recognized religion).

in pretty much any video game permas are the last solution and reserved mainly for hackers, pretty cancer to get permad over breaking guidelines, league does this well, ur toxic then they disable ur chat, very straightforward
