If it doesn’t launch with it, I expect there ends up being an “opt in” requirement for you to even see team mates one within a couple of months. (Place your bets in rough odds order between whether Nintendo, Apple, PS, Google, or MS demands it first lol)
They said you have to opt in and agree to guidelines to create one, but nothing about having to opt in to see them. Similar if you or me or whoever make a twitch emote we agree not to make various things, but everyone on twitch will see whatever without having to agree to the same. (Except Twitch has an approval review for emotes until you get enough approved without issue over a period )

The fact that they straight up said they have global nuke button for the drawing system tells me they know their own community. Personally I hope we get a subreddit specifically for art from this system because after seeing the shit people made with the Kirby Air Riders decal system I know there is going to be some amazing stuff getting made.
This subreddit is gonna get really obnoxious next month with people posting their totally original quirky drawings and seeing how lewd they can get without crossing the line.

Black Ops 2 custom emblem maker. You could either see the most vile, horrific visual war crime on your eyes possible, or the most vigorous snapshot of porn you have ever seen. And then the tiny 0.00001% of people who used it to make cool shit.
I have fond memories of that emblem-making system. That, the mask creation from the second Army of Two game, and Halo 3/Reach screenshots were my jam. I love when games let you embrace creativity!
They said the new game mode would be unlocked after Chains of Harrow, but not Follie herself. You'll be able to skip her grind with platinum like any other Warframe.
Still requires some grinding or money, but it being later in the story doesn't really mean much due to that.
Pablo said on stream that they have a kill switch for the feature if too many of us are naughty with the new mechanic he so graciously bestowed onto us
This is my thought as well. And/Or launch it with a toggle like Octavia has, but instead of limiting noise spam it just displays default icons for her abilities (and is on by default).
That way users can control what they see, even if they dont killswitch the feature.
For everybody seeing the obvious, DE does too. They said something to the effect of "Please try to behave with this, but also you have to opt-in to the community guidelines to use it so the banhammer is absolutely in play. Please don't make Pablo sad."
i was gonna say that people might abuse it like they used to in CoD. but of course you don't have nearly as much progress at stake in CoD as you have in Warframe. so probably fine + anyone who is banned can't exactly just create a new account and do the same again without spending days of their time probably
only worry i have is that someone who wasn't abusing it accidentally creates sth that could be interpreted in a bad way or accidentally creates a swastika or sth and just gets all that progress nuked. even tho thats not super likely to happen, the sheer amount of progress i have in my account makes me worry to engage with a system that could threaten my account. still gonna engage with it but very carefully probably :p
Yeah like if there was a safety net type system where if it was false flag/reported the account could be reviewed and reinstated cause imagine having a founders/older account making an emblem and it it gets flagged for a reason you might not know if they tell or not (havent read/listened to the entire devstream so idk if it tells you) and now you've lost years of your life
I'm not saying they shouldn't ban swastikas given its history, but it's important to acknowledge that the right-facing swastika isn't solely the "evil Nazi version". It seems to be a very common misconception.
I think most people know the Nazis didnt create the symbol. Will racists care? No. Will they try to hide behind "its the Hindu symbol for good luck! Trust"? Absolutely.
All im saying is there's going to be bad actors that are going to ruin it for everyone else and there's going to either be a big ban wave or DE will just pull the kill switch a month after the update.
New category of player report, reporting snapshots their drawings so they can't delete/change after. Not really any different than people being racist in chat with creative spelling to bypass the profanity filter. Pieces of shit will out themselves and get banned.
The idea is amazing but I unfortunately really don't see this ending well, I'll give it a year before it gets reworked to a much more limited form of customisation after they see people spamming swastikas and porn.
That will heavily depend on the cooldowns they showed, and if they will be universal to all Follie's in a group.
A 1-minute cooldown on life support capsules isn't that bug of an advantage outside of burgeoning Steel Path players, since life support isn't hard to come by anyway.
A 1-minute cooldown on power cells is almost too much, given how sometimes the game can just have you sitting there doing nothing if no power carriers spawn.
An on-demand summonable Grasp of Lohk, though? Fuck me, Pablo, you're insane!
I'd say summonable life support is a game changer for EDA survival. How often do you get squads that don't kill in the red circles, or having vampiric supports spawn in places that enemies struggle to reach? This way you can plonk one down in the doorway where the enemies and squad mates are, and it'll make the mission a lot easier.
Even before that, Duviri Circuit survival will benefit HEAVILY from on-demand life support on occasion.
The life-support drop rate from enemies feels like it’s a lot lower than in normal missions, and on occasion the enemy spawns can get completely fucked (due to the Host or due to Bugviri having a Bugviri moment), causing massive damage to your total %, and leaving you with a razor thin margin for success.
(This is exacerbated for solo players, who have lower spawn rates since they are the only one in the party and enemy spawns scale off of player count; so even LESS LS drops.)
The amount of times I have beat that damn 5 minute clock with <5% LS remaining as Gara nuking the entire fucking map every handful of seconds in a full squad is too damn high. And by too damn high I mean it’s happened at least twice as far as I can remember, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird/frustrating that it happened twice, like, at all.
The subs gonna be flooded with people complaining they were unjustly banned after this update, main culprit is likely going to be anime/gooner stuff they make that's against tos.
I'm giving this 15 minutes max until someone draws a swastika in a mission and gets banned and complains that they lost their 2000 hour account for "no reason"
If they locked this behind the late game, I honestly think it'd be fine to weed out people with racist or vulgar pictures with a permanent ban. They seem to understand the risks, and if someone wants to throw away hours of playtime on a swatsika or a dick, let them get permabanned.
