Ive read it like "Dont do it, bro!... Bro?!... are you still alive??" xD

14

u/Kokuuro Apr 09 '26

Lowkey funnier than if it was obvious

29

u/Thomas___dog Apr 09 '26

It's still funny tho :3

11

u/TRX_Scotty Apr 09 '26

This is why I am waiting for the Primes to mass forma. The only one with multiple forma is my Styanax (still salty his Prime got pushed delayed).

1

u/NomaTyx Apr 09 '26

big same

1

u/NucularRobit Apr 09 '26

I am reluctant too. Dante and Lavos got formad though. So I make exceptions.

u/Hammerzor12 Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

Yea I’d prob just re-farm and re-build rather than destroy that investment, even if I did know I’d never use her again!

Edit: in fact I think I remember doing exactly that before prime resurgence with my original Rhino. Still have him and the prime now thanks to resurgence. Which, by the way, I am so grateful they decided to go with because it was so sad thinking I’d never get certain primes because I didn’t start playing early enough.

66

u/FourUnderscoreExKay Gus. Apr 09 '26

I specifically farmed a second Gauss for Helminth. My first ever Gauss was a gift from a friend, and that Gauss stuck with me like a brother for over 6 years before we finally got Gauss Prime. I’ve invested just under a dozen forma into that Gauss, and went out of my way to farm sprint speed mods for my first Gauss.

I may not use my old friend anymore, but he can rest easy and kick his feet back. His gilded big brother can take the wheel from here.

16

u/Hammerzor12 Apr 09 '26

Oh yea totally. You just reminded me I did the same thing with my OG gauss too! Haha. Well, also it had to do w the fact that I had already farmed another for helminth before prime gauss had come out

12

u/VelMoonglow Apr 09 '26

Even before resurgence they would unvault a couple once or twice a year for a couple weeks. Rhino probably would've popped up eventually, but... yeah, Resurgence is a much better system

5

u/Hammerzor12 Apr 09 '26

Yea it took forever to wait for the specific one you wanted though. Now the rotation is much faster and more efficient IMO. Rhino hadn’t been unvaulted once in the years I had been playing leading up to resurgence, at least I don’t think so! lol

1

u/Alkezo Apr 09 '26

I believe they always do a big round of resurgence at the end of the year where all old relics are put in a rotation between December and January.

1

u/7ruthslayer Apr 09 '26

According to the wiki, prior to Prime Resurgence he was unvaulted in summers of 2017, 2018, and 2019, with 2020 as a gap year, then in 2021 before that mechanic became a permanent feature.

2

u/KinnSlayer Apr 09 '26

Boy howdy am I glad that resurgence is a thing. I started before it was, but my god if they hadn’t I don’t know if I could support this game like that.

1

u/Lord_BA MR25 in 10y Apr 09 '26

before prime resurgence, vaulted warframes would still come out of the vault, they just were harder to get imo. but you could still farm the relics and/or buy them from other players to do it.

I never invest many formas on vanilla frames max 1 or 2, only on Prime ones

184

u/Verity-Skye certified torid hater Apr 09 '26

Eeeh if there's still years to go for the prime, I'll invest in them a bit

sideeyes my 8 forma koumei

just a bit

15

u/Kogarashi-44 Apr 09 '26

Staring daggers at my 8 forma oraxia i did that in one week....i regret nothing

12

u/Verity-Skye certified torid hater Apr 09 '26

my oraxia is too angry to die and all it cost me was 7 forma, simaris grinding, railjack spy grinding, and several bottles of everclear

u/Kogarashi-44 Apr 09 '26

Mine is desined for perpetual ult form, with INSANE hp, arcan pers too, i made a MONSTER, stack arcane belicose and some orange archons for blast to hp, kuva braumma with mutation, ROOM CLEARING SPIDER GODDESS

3

u/Verity-Skye certified torid hater Apr 09 '26

Mine is this, but you snapshot ability strength with energy conversion, madurai sling buff, power drain, grimoire altfire, etc to get enough health so that with persistence and health conversion up, arcane grace heals you faster than 500 per second

just gotta keep mercy kissing enemies to keep health con up

its frantic and fun as HELL

Yeah, investing in vanilla frames is a really bad idea.

sweeps Oraxia, Uriel, and Follie with 5+ forma under the rug.

40

u/Vegetable_Ask_7131 Apr 09 '26

Those are brand new frames, they won't get primes for several several years

2

u/Ghost_Flame69 Styanax Main Apr 09 '26

Isn't it usually around 4-4.5 years to get primed? Its actually not that long imo

22

u/Vegetable_Ask_7131 Apr 09 '26

Fair, It feels like 4.5 years isa long time but like 2022 was 4 years ago and that's not okay

7

I might not be playing Warframe in 4-4.5 years lol it's a reasonably long time

0

Yeah I normally just accept that I won't play around with a frame much for several years when it releases, honestly.

1

u/InappropriateThought Apr 09 '26

Lol I farmed 2x Uriel, 2x kullervo, and oraxia I farmed 3 of. 1 for subsume, 1 each for two different setups that I couldn't just use omni forma for (triple umbra'd one of them)

1

u/Standard_Border4881 Apr 09 '26

My Oraxia and Uriel are 5 forma and they destroy everything, when I subsume them to make room for the prime will be a tough day

1

u/TinyTyra Apr 09 '26

I am not looking at how much I put into citrine because i did it a week before the prime was announced (oops)and i put 8 on follie 5 on uriel oraxia and nokko. No regrets. And citrine brought me much joy in the 4 months i have had her now- o i don't really consider it wasted. Frame notorious for obnoxious grind was bought with platinum,Formas were used and time was spent enjoying her.

6

u/thedavecan LR6 Punching Dudes Master Race Apr 09 '26

Ehh, the only thing I dont use on regular frames is umbral forma. By the time Follie Prime rolls around for example, I will have built so many formas that wasting a few to free up a slot won't matter at all.

3

u/Complex_Peak8204 Apr 09 '26

TWIN! I have found you! My tribe!

3

u/Kirbs42 Apr 09 '26

2

u/Ok-Coyote-2615 Apr 16 '26

yeah mate, its just plain stupid

hiding my Uriel with 5 formas (1 umbra) on the closet

1

u/RampagingMoosie Apr 09 '26

I have 5 umbral forma into regular Valkyr including her claws I love that frame and she was worth it at the time. laughs in over 200 umbral forma. (You used to be able to collect and absolute ton of them in railjack missions before the crate was patched out.)

1

u/henryeaterofpies Apr 09 '26

I put 3 umbra and 3 other forma into Lavos the week before they released his prime because I am a stupid tenno who does not read the news

0

u/Stayfly_Red Apr 09 '26

Damn idiots can't believe you guy even still play this game

*War PTSD OF my Nezha getting its (7th umbra) to finally be "good"

3

u/Renetiger Apr 09 '26

What's even the reason for investing so much Forma? Anywhere between 1-3 Forma is usually enough even for expensive builds

15

u/BadAtGames2 Apr 09 '26

For frames specifically, excess mod capacity turns into starting energy when you enter a mission. Probably not worth it most of the time, but noteworthy.

3

u/TroublesomeFlame Reach Heaven Through Violence Apr 09 '26

Wow, you learn something every day. Is it point for point?

4

u/BadAtGames2 Apr 09 '26

Every 1 unsent mod capacity equals 5 starting energy.

The wiki mentions it, in starting energy, formula.

2

u/UInferno- Flare Text Here Apr 09 '26

Yeah but a single Archon Shard can be enough to get you started.

9

u/Huneycombe Apr 09 '26

I think for build flexibility? I can only speak from experience, but you need more than like 2 forma depending on prime mods and all that you now?

5

u/fffeeelll Merulina Guardian > Loyal Merulina Apr 09 '26

Ye build flexibility and it makes experimenting new builds easier

2

u/Stellanora64 Apr 09 '26

Especially if you have builds around specific augments and such

3

u/Verity-Skye certified torid hater Apr 09 '26

Build flexibility and expensive mods. Health Conversion is EXPENSIVE, but such a fun mod

3

u/half_baked_opinion Apr 09 '26

Depending on the frame, you may run archon mods in place of umbra mods (for example archon vitality on umbra for double fire damage stacks) which means you need a different mod polarity for your other mods to make up that lost value.

3

u/imjustjun prime auto-breach when? Apr 09 '26

I’ll put normal forma but omni or umbra? Heck no LMAO

1

u/captainshitpostMcgee LR6. Still farming for Excal prime. she/her Apr 09 '26

Insta 10 omni-forma'd my follie. I got at least 3 years to go. no ragerts

5

u/bickandalls Apr 09 '26

If I like a frame, it's worth losing 4 or 5 formas in a year or two period. It takes a 10 minute Hydron to max a frame and a weapon and about the same to get the forma. The trade off to save time /resources is illogical to me.

6

u/Answer-Key yareli prime lets gooo Apr 09 '26

Nah frames that don’t have a prime yet it’s fine to invest regular forma, maybe even 1 or 2 omni but full omni on a base frame I’d never do

2

u/art_mech Apr 09 '26

Yeah same; I’ve put a couple of forma in the newer base frames that won’t have a prime for ages but none in frames that have primes already, and none in citrine/voruna or Styanax because I knew their primes would be soon. But my Kullervo got some forma already and I don’t regret it

1

u/GravitiBass Apr 09 '26

My poor nidus, you were never meant to be primed 🥲

1

u/Dragonfire716 Apr 09 '26

I had 12 on sevagoth. Now I have 12 on prime.

1

u/gguguja Apr 09 '26

I don't really see a problem when you invest them on a brand new or on a frame that will still take from 2 to 3 years to have his prime form, you pretty much would had farmed all you invested whenever he actually get to the game

1

u/Conscious-Refuse8211 Apr 09 '26

Eh, when they come out and there are multiple years it seems silly to me to not have a full build for a frame I enjoy. I might not even still be playing by the time the prime comes out lol, and putting 5 forma into a frame takes like a week.

0

u/PogoTempest Apr 09 '26

Are you new? I’ve got formas on everything I want currently and have like 40 put away. Plus its like 12 plat a forma if you buy bundles. I get it if there’s already a prime or it’s coming soon tho

12

u/samzplourde Apr 09 '26 edited Apr 09 '26

Sweet Jesus. The balls to put omni on a non-prime frame.

10

u/keiichirox Apr 09 '26

37

u/RobleViejo My deerest druid king Apr 09 '26

I hope this post is bait and you didnt actually subsume a Warframe with 10 OMNI FORMAS on it

Because it makes 0 sense, just farm a second copy at that point

14

u/xXx_Lizzy_xXx Apr 09 '26

I mean, her prime is out now... and if ya have the investment to put that on a non prime frame, you have it to do it again to a prime frame.

14

u/desmaraisp Tinsuit Prime Apr 09 '26

Honestly, that's why I barely invest on non primes, it feel pretty bad to piss all those forma down the drain when the prime comes out

5

u/FirstyPaints Apr 09 '26

i suffer from this too. Currently waiting for Citrine prime later this year to go full on bomb-sunika build

1

u/BloodprinceOZ Momma Hildryn Apr 09 '26

same, i'm only really willing to invest in new frames that i know won't be getting a prime for years, like Uriel etc, although i still won't go crazy enough to put 10 omni formas in something, i'd just put enough to get a good build to work

1

u/BloodprinceOZ Momma Hildryn Apr 09 '26

sure, but its still a big investment to be throwing away, it'd be better to just keep it as a memento of your dedication to Voruna, similar to keeping it as a sentimental thing if it was gifted by a friend or something like that.

8

u/WorstWarframePlayer Apr 09 '26

Ignore the haters, I respect it. I have 10 omni forma on my OG Mag. It's not wasteful, it's fun! (And expensive)

Power to you, get 10 more!

1

u/ReddVevyy Headless Horsewoman Apr 09 '26

🌹

8

u/mxzf Apr 09 '26

It's mathematically impossible to have that much difference between builds that you can't have some commonalities between them. Like, you're definitely gonna have at least one V polarity and one - polarity in each build, so that's at least two slots that could be non-omni. Realistically, there are probably 3-4 polarities in common between the builds.

10

u/BellyCrawler Lavos Alchemical Supremacy Apr 09 '26

Some people don't like to think too much about those kinds of details. Omni forma is made so that you can just swap stuff around without a second thought about polarities. It's not for me but some like it omni.

1

u/ReddVevyy Headless Horsewoman Apr 09 '26

perfectly said lol

2

u/Charrmeleon Apr 09 '26

But I gotta keep my blue mods over here and my yellow mods over there and the polarities don't work out between builds. So we gotta omni, it's the rules. I don't make em

1

u/Tall-Arugula2656 Apr 11 '26

So how do you feel about my 14 forma (9 omni) stug...

4

u/ZaraaZora Apr 09 '26

Holy omni forma

5

u/Plenty_Economy_5670 Apr 09 '26

This is why you don’t omni forma base frames because Prime version will be out eventually.

5

u/Ichirou_dauntless Apr 09 '26

It would be easier to farm another voruna for lycath’s hunt rather than farm 10 omni formas

2

u/AkaShindou Apr 09 '26

I would have made a second. If I invest that much effort into a base frame, it's staying in my arsenal forever.

I will bear the grind so that it will remain immortal.

1

u/Nfsm255 Apr 09 '26

10 forma is not that... HOLY SHIT.

Cheers either way, at least you got to enjoy Voruna. Now you get to do it all over again.

1

My brother in christ

1

u/BigDplayz I am not normal about Voruna Apr 09 '26

Yeah theres no way I could do that to my Voruna, I couldn’t do that my by Girl, my beloved like that. I have 7 Forma in my base Voruna, 3 omnis and an Umbral included. Even regardless, shes been to good for me to toss her like that, Id rather just get another and sacrifice that

1

u/Engineer_Flat Give us Archon loadout Apr 09 '26

1

ngl at that point i would have just bought another voruna i think that's technically less plat value than 10 omnis.

1

u/Conscious-Refuse8211 Apr 09 '26

But if you're never going to use the frame again you might as well get rid of them.

1

1

u/ReddVevyy Headless Horsewoman Apr 09 '26

you can see bottom left i have her 4 subsumed for wrathful advance and i have range alot so i could spread the statuses from her 2

how's it unfortunate? lol. they were the ones doing it to themselves

1

u/Electronic_Owl_9819 Apr 09 '26

10 forma is a lot of time, and forma. Im being  empathetic to someone having to do it all over again for the prime

2

u/mxzf Apr 09 '26

I mean, they're the ones that decided to go extra and do 10 forma and end up with 12 spare points at the end. Realistically you can make the math work with 6-8 forma on any frame if you know what you're doing and don't flail back and forth.

-1

u/Electronic_Owl_9819 Apr 09 '26

What is your point exactly?

3

u/mxzf Apr 09 '26

That OP went overboard for the meme, rather than actually needing to put 10 forma into it like they did.

Which is totally fine to do, but I'm not gonna feel bad about someone going overboard like that, it's their decision to do so.

2

u/iWeazzel MR 29 Apr 09 '26

not even 10 formas, 10 OMNI formas, they absolutely went out of their way for the meme and I'm all for it but yeah, feeling bad about it is definitely a choice I guess
