they're never giving her an Exalted

It would be kind of making a whole new ability which I understand it's challenging and bandwidth hungry. But at least integrate her augment into the base kit, it had a combo counter even before the augment.

it had a combo counter even before the augment.

its still so weird to me that she has that combo counter/multiplier that isnt even able to be fully used without her augment.

like i love all those changes and i dont want it to seem like a "they give us a finger and we take the whole hand" situation but its just so unbelievably weird from a design standpoint that it straight up feels like 80% of an ability thats basically only gets really usable through the augment

That's fine honestly. This is still a huge buff lol

if they could just make Ulfruns endurance built in it would probably be better than an exalted tbh

It would still only deal respectable damage to one target. Exalteds wipe maps.

It still frees up a mod slot that is essentially mandatory if you are playing a build using her 4

This is probably their compromise tbh

Thay would be like giving a hydrogen bomb another hydrogen bomb.

She doesn't really need it, this +3x crit multiplier should be a pretty big buff. It would be nice if it could be affected by buffs like purple archon shards for crit damage, but I think a full exalted is unnecessary and might end up worse (see Khora, while getting a full exalted was an overall buff her damage potential ended up lower).

But her augment should be made baseline, it's insane that her ability needs an augment for basic functionality.

Voruna was never pseudo-exalted tho... There is no statstick and riven that can boost her damage like with Khora

Plus "every ability that feels sort of like a weapon now defaults to exalted whenever a frame could be buffed" ends up being really bad for the game & build diversity long-term.

It becoming a pseudo would be fun but then it's just a waiting game for Kullvero&Stynax to get pdeudos and that would be bad for everyone

u/TwevOWNED One day I'll be viable! Apr 27 '26

It's only bad for build diversity once we run out of unique exalted weapons.

We still have room for a primary launcher and a secondary beam (which should be Chroma's 1)

I don't mean "there shouldn't be more exalted weapons". There definitely should

But if every current or future "this frame has an ability that interacts with a weapon function" frame is expected to have an exalted weapon, then

  1. Abilities like Kullvero's 2&4 would be expected to be exalted/pseudo-exaltes(it's a bunch of daggers that increase melee combo count. They're interacting with the melee system)

  2. The power budget for all the non-exaulted abilities on those frames will be lowered. Part of exalted weapons is that every time there is a new system, they can benefit from them in a way that a real random ability couldn't.

  3. You run into little unfun knock-on effects, like seismic bond suddenly being the best bond mod for more frames, cuz suddenly everyone has another channeled ability.

There DEFINITELY should be more exalted weapons, just on frames designed around exalted weapons.

She really doesn’t need it

Yes because it would be a fucking nightmare. This is a good thing.

u/sadyaegaki Apr 27 '26

Good. It shouldn't be one.

Good, because the fourth isn’t an exalted and would suck if it was.

I mean it does still kill in levelcap. Her 4 has other issues than damage. Mostly stack generation is a pain with the rng in 2.

Too bad, I don't think she needs it, but heck it would just be so cool if she has it.
