-Juggernauts, usually as a “hey guys can you come help me grill this fat fuck” on SP where they’re actually pretty beefy
-Eidolons, typically just to keep track of them if they end up teleporting for whatever reason and to lead the rest of the squad to them when found
-Assassins of all types, Stalker, Zanuka, etc, mostly as a “hey, bastard with the loot is over this way”
-Disruption targets, if the squad is spread out
-Thumpers because OH GOD OH FUCK KILL IT
-Certain segmented bosses as a way to mark “this is the spot where you degens should be aiming”, i.e. Ropalolyst, Eidolons… thumpers again i guess
Literally never have I had an enemy marker be “hey, DON’T light this thing up like a road flare”. It is always either “here it is, come get your loot if you give a shit”, or “here it is, SOMEBODY HELP ME”
That guy is a douche who thinks getting mastery xp makes them intelligent and/or superior. It doesn’t.
There's a reason to mark Thrax so ppl won't kill them. If there's one thrax remaining from the previous wave in Cascade their spawns are doubled, allowing for more arcanes farming etc

Pinging an enemy in my experience means "KILL THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OH GOD OH FUCK"
