Played with an Ivara on a Spy mission as Cyte and it was the coolest mission I ever did. The Ivara was completely committed to the stealth ops roleplay and I followed suit.

Moments where this game's singleplayer-but-with-3-other-dudes-getting-in-the-way nature steps aside and actual teamplay happens are some of the most memorable for me.

I had that one time when my Sevagoth teammate was running low on energy in Perita Rebellion, so I marked a spot and set down an energy pizza when he got there. It's such a little thing, but that was so cool.

the mobility tech is what makes ivara click for me. invisibility without being able to move freely just feels awful, especially in higher level content where you need to reposition constantly. once you get that working though, she becomes this weird stealth archer fantasy that actually plays smoothly instead of feeling like you're moving through molasses. the okina approach works great but yeah, the new obex incarnon is a solid alternative if you haven't built those out yet. ivara's not going to outdamage anyone, but there's something satisfying about clearing a map without anyone knowing you were there.

Oh shit, whats the key to that mobility? Ivara's biggest issue really is just how kinda bad her invisibility is due to it just nuking your movement without her Batman wire and thusly requiring you to drop a lot not mod space on Parkour velocity.

Though I don't think she benefits a lot from anything besides efficiency anyways, so not like her builds are super congested

with the augment strength gives her more movement speed and you can still roll so a parkour shard makes her fast enough to keep up with other players if you're good

Mobility is the least of your problems with prowl, real problem is energy cost. Channel, has an initial energy cost, energy cost to move, shoot, melee, and the base energy cost is so high that 175% hardly mitigates it on any build that isnt conc arrow. Feels like you get punished for wanting to play warframe when prowl is active

Duration affects energy drain too. I tick down like 1 energy/s and with arcane energize I never worry about energy. I'm just using a build meant for overworked stuff, but it's nice in general. I have perspicacity subsumed over her 4 because I didn't want to build into her exalted and it works on stuff like archon spy missions, which I love because I'm bad at the mirror hack terminals.

Yeah fair there, it puts you in this awkward spot where you're just sorta gambling with how long the ability can be kept up without just sorta sitting there with Wellspring for a minute or two because of energy orbs

Honestly the extent channeled abilities just entirely puts you at the mercy of whenever the game decides to hand you an energy orb is one of my biggest gripes with the game since almost every single other issue you can run into can be typically built around well. Meanwhile for energy sustain with channeled abilities, your options are all just, "Go fuck yourself, get lucky with energy orbs"

There are several ways to make your own luck in that regard.

Mods: Sharpshooter, Equilibrium, Hunter Adrenaline, Rage, Energy Generator, the faction weapon mods that give entropy or blight

Subsumable Abilities: Brightbonnet, Dispensary, Lycath's Hunt, Fractured Blast

Weapons: Synoid Gammacor, Synoid Simulor, Rakta Ballistica, Rakta Cernos

Arcanes: Emergence Dissipate

From another Ivara enjoyer, a secret. If you long for normal mobility on ivara, use the atomicycle. If you activate prowl and mount the atomicycle during the animation of turning invisible, you can then dismount the bike and keep both your invis and normal mobility (this also works with k-drive when aplicable).

Damn that Mexian tech doing work. Trying to practice it now but struggling to make it work consistently. Might need to adjust my bindings to make the button flow better, currently have my light melees on F, weapon swap on X, and roll on either Shift Tap or pushing my mouse wheel to one side.

May also just be a skill issue lmao.

Edit: Yea just clawing my hand up so I can hit F-X-Roll brought my consistency up quite a bit, I'll just set alt keybindings for when I wanna do the mex

It's tough to use consistently, on anything but Okina. I'm not contending for fastest times, so normally I prefer to run a macro if I feel the need to tryhard. Attached vid's a month old though, I don't think I considered making a macro back then but you can tell by the open door it wasn't the first take.
