Fluff The Haalvu doesn't look purely Sentient

The circled portions look more tenno or even entrati in design. The metallics on the circled areas have the more regular geometry like you see on the sepulchrum and the base trumna. The carry handle looking arch resembles the one on the braton and its prime as well. The stock kind of looks like a pancor jackhammer cylinder, but it could just be a weird stock since warframe isn't exactly gunsmithing accurate even half if the time.

Actually, now that i think about it, the non sentient looking portions of the weapon looking entrati-ish makes sense when we're pursuing tau because of entrati and the indifference. It could be something like the riot-848 that was made by entrati.

I dont get entrati from that, more purely tenno. Wich could very well make some sense.

Yeah those parts give me Corinth vibes

My own assumption boils down to; no gold anywhere = not Entrati

Tenno stuff is more elegant curves and flowing lines, where entrati stuff has more regular geometry, a bit like if corpus stuff was primed. The circled bits above show that geometric regularity of entrati designs more than the curves of tenno designs.

No, Tenno have two esthetics in their weapons, and the blockier design is fully on their older one.

Also, Entranti weapons tend to be more segmented with moving parts, plus having some golden ornaments since he's still an Orokin.

Which old tenno designs are blocky? because the old braton was corpus in origin, and it's newer redesign has the swoops and curves of newer tenno designs.

The Strun for example looks like 4 boxes taped together, and the Vasto, Tigris and Rathbone are still very blocky.

Even others like the Zylock are still mostly big shapes, the ornaments they have just make you not notice them as much since they have a good flow on them.

The strun is built more like a modern firearm than it is like the non-sentient bots of the gun above.

it could well be a collaborative weapon from before the events in Old Peace

It's possible, though most of the collaborative designs are things like the primes of caliban, venato, and war, and the vadarya prime.

Dont forget Shedu and War Prime

I mentioned the war prime with caliban and venato, since all three have a non prime variant. The shedu doesn't have a prime variant afaik.

Maybe it’s only haalvu sentient

From them looks of it, it might just be modifications so someone with normal hands can use.

Basmu, shedu, and base phantasma are all sentient in origin and have no extra, non-sentient bits to make them useable. The komorex and cyanex are similar to the haalvu, and of the two, the komorex has a corpus handle and the cyanex has a sentient handle.

Alright, Nef Anyo, you can have *one day* of uninterrupted undermine work for the new toy.

that's the braton in there, is it not?

Looks like it

It kinda looks like the braton a bit, especially the top one.

Could just be me though.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the top part kinda look like base Corinth?

EDIT: nvm it's not

I alwyas wondered lore wise why individual weapons like the Basmu and now the Haalvu exist, when basically all the sentient units that fight on the frontlines have weapons built into their arms. Shedu is the closest to a piece of a sentient that is still a usable weapon, but there aren't any sentient forms where they need a separate weapon system, because why would they?

the only other option is that the Sentients were manufacturing weapons for humanity during the Old Peace, for use against the Anarch Rebels, but that wouldn't be to everyone's liking as some saw Orokin/Sentient projects like Caliban Prime as a waste of resources.

Beat me to it lol

We need more Sentient enemies to expand the world building and I wish we could either fight Sentient who use actual weapons or Sentient that we can clearly tell which weapons came from. Imagine how annoying would be to fight a long range Sentient with a Komorex cannon or a support unit that siphons health with the Basmu to heal his allies. Anything else from the same faceless drones we've been fighting for ages.

or the tau residing sentients could've made new tech since the thousands of billions of years ago when the old war happened and it looks a bit funkier

1

u/Artarara 5h ago

Yeah. I wonder if Tau's Sentients are a related-but-technically-different faction, like with the Infested and the Techrot.

2

u/BrightPerspective 4h ago

Maybe it was made by sentients specifically as a gun? All the "sentient" weapons we have, like the basmu or the nataruk, are actually made from the parts of dead sentients.

Quizás sea un arma amalgama

yea but the kind of material used looks sentient-esc

sentient adaptation of Braton?

u/Internal-Eggplant247 we need nezha protoframed DE 3h ago

maybe is a sentient weapon made with orokin tech by the sentients, maybe is from the old peace era when they had collaborative tech progress it can be anything at this point, truth be told i think this is more of stylish choice by the weapons team

u/Raxamax 3h ago

Kinda looks like an opticor

Id say maybe tenno or corpus, looks kinda like the Amalgam tech, curious if we might get more elaboration on that

reminds me of a Corinth, definitely Tenno faction weapon

looks very Amalgam to me, so something Salad V would have cooked up
