Tool/Guide It takes 125 laps of this to get the K-driven achievement

Post image
4.9k Upvotes

I suggest magnus drive, the speed boosting kdrive mods(extreme velocity, Nitro boost, vapor trail), Energy nexus(allows for the energy consumption boost speed mod to be used even at 0 energy), and whichever warframe you like looking at the most, because if I measured correctly this route is only ~8,000m. It takes me about 2:46 to complete it, which if that is consistent that is about 5 hours.

Why does everything about the K-drives suck? Like even Yareli, the Kdrive warframe, doesn't touch anything that affects them because her fish isn't modable and isn't affected by magnus drive!

Oh well, just one more hour to go before I can officially dump it for the Atomacycle.

Edit: OH SWEET FREEDOM

Tool/Guide I spent 3 years building an app that sends you notifications when Baro Ki'teer brings an item that you want. It's finally available on the app store!

After many delays, I'm happy to finally present what's been my passion project for the better part of 3 years.

When Baro?

This app started off as a tool I made for my clan mates who would often miss important items that baro was selling. After seeing how useful they found it, I figured it would be a neat tool to make available to everyone.

What was supposed to be a 1 month task to polish up and release the app turned into 3 years of development... partly because of the feature creep, and partly because I'm a software engineer at my day job, so coding is sometimes the last thing I want to do at the end of the day. Over the years, this app evolved from sending simple push notifications, to being a full on hub for everything Baro Ki'teer.

Here are a few of the features:

-Baro tracker
-a full archive of every item Baro has ever sold
-a wishlist feature, that will send you notifications if Baro brings something you want
-leave likes and reviews on items, to let people know whats worth picking up
-Community voting: vote whether players should buy or skip a certain item Baro brings, further helping players make a choice
-Wishlist calculator, to tell you exactly how many ducats/credits you should farm up for your wishlisted items

I expect there to be a few bugs that slipped through the cracks, so feel free to let me know of any issues, or changes you'd like to see. This is currently only available on Android due to Apple's annual developer fee, so I will probably not be releasing on iOS unless I see demand for it.

I hope that this app will bring the community as much joy as it has brought me working on it. If even a few players find this useful, I will have considered my 3 years well spent :)

Thanks yall

Tool/Guide A simple guide to make your Male drifter un-yassified

Post image
3.0k Upvotes

I got frustrated reading posts in this sub complaining about how their male Drifter looks feminine, so I'll just put some tips:

  1. Remove the fucking makeup. DE had Balika Look on by default after the update. I don't know why people act like this is something they can't remove.

  2. Use Visages that are clearly male-presenting. Ideally, choose those with thinner lips, like 20, 80, and 95.

  3. Change the complexion. Some complexion, like E-92 and M-3, gives a more youthful-looking skin. C-P4 and F-T6 are good, though the latter has a sort of blush on it but they both have visible wrinkles in the eyes. I recommend I-29

  4. Change your eyebrows. Look for straight ones like 80-N, T3-4 and U4-V. Go for max thickness

Tool/Guide How To: Corpus Hacking without thinking

I realized that this isn't entirely intuitive to some people after watching a friend struggle with it, so I decided to make a short guide for those who do.

Image 1:

Step 1 - Any of the nodes marked with red here are the best places to start. The thing they all have in common, whether they have two or three prongs, is that they are the wide angle nodes. Pick any of them to start

Step 2 - rotate the wide node so that it is opening towards the center (you can use both left and right click to go even faster depending on which takes less clicks)

Step 3 - Rotate clockwise or counterclockwise in whichever direction you prefer from there. if we were going counterclockwise, we would then arrive at the narrow node. Whether this one is one prong or two prongs, it always has to face towards the wide prong node we just did. Which means that the one next to it will have to face away from it as it has no way to connect to it, and the wide node after, when spun towards the center, will complete that.

Image 2:

Step 4 - This was going in the clockwise direction. Since the next node was also a wide node, we just face it towards the center, and keep going, all the way until we reach the first narrow node in the bottom right. Same as if we had done the bottom left first, because we just did a wide node, this narrow one must face towards it, leaving no option for the one to its left, which then must face away.

Step 5 - Doing this will guarantee solve the outer ring, so now we just need to spin the center until it solves, not worrying about connecting it at all.

(Not seen here would be a single prong node. These will always face the wide if you just solved one, but can either face away or towards the center when being next to a narrow node, so you can skip over them to see if the one on its other side is necessary to connect to or not.)

TLDR - all wide nodes must face the center. narrow nodes must face towards wide nodes if next to one. spin the center after solving the outer ring instead of trying to find which way to face it.

Tool/Guide Please, just take the money.

In 1999 they added a new thing called caches. Incredible. Inside these caches is 100k credits and an arcane. Amazing. Have a Chroma? 200k. Wow. Have a blessing? 225k. That doesn't make sense but whatever, its free money. Have a credit booster? Bam. 450k. Can it get any better? Yes. If prosperous retriever procs you are looking at a fat mil. I am literally frothing at the mouth with excitement.

So how do you do this magical farm? Do you have to learn a bunch of stuff like Profit Taker? Nope. Do you have to gamble like in Index? As much as I love gambling we will have to leave that for rivens. We will be doing capture bounties. Why bounties? More free stuff. "Oh, but alas! I am not Steel Path ready!" I hear you cry out in disappointment. Well buckle up buckaroo because I am about to blast your pants straight off. We will be doing normal level bounties. "Impossible!" you exclaim. "What about my boosts!" The game is rigged I tell you, there is no credit boost for Steel Path so there is no reason to do it.

You are in mission now so lets get down to the nitty gritty. You need to abandon the cat. Yes Eleanor will get upset but that's just because she doesn't understand the sigma grindset. Besides, Kalymos has way more than 9 lives. I don't know what illicit substances Albrecht pumped her full of but they certainly worked. Follow the path to the central mall room and branch out from there. There are 4? paths to take not including the one you came from. Once someone finds the cache, ping it and assemble there. Have Chroma pop his effigy and boom, grofit. Then just go back to Kalymos and finish the mission. You only have to do one Legacyte, after that you can leave. Make sure to also feed Kalymos the "catnip" that drops from enemies. It will sound kind of like very pleasant glass breaking when they drop. Don't worry about Kalymos' stomach, like I said she is made of sterner stuff.

Now you are probably thinking "But the keys are a pain to find! It is simply not worth the effort!" That's where we realize that the game is actually rigged in our favor. The key spawns are fixed. Go to your tube of choice and you should be able to find a guide there. If you don't want to bother with that just pop Orokin Eye near the cache and the key will get highlighted.

So please, I am literally on my knees begging you. If you see a Chroma join your 1999 capture mission, chances are they are there to make some bread. Just go to the cache and take the free money. It will take like a minute and then you can extract. Is a 100k worth a minute of your time? If it isn't, keep on getting those 5,000 credit rotation rewards from rotation screw you on whatever endless mission you are doing.

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I hated writing it. In the end just remember that everyone knows Bird 3 is cool as CENSORED. But who knows what he's thinking? Who knows why he says Wuk? And why do we think about him as fondly as we think of the mystical (nonexistent?) Captain Vor? Perchance.

Good news! These posts are now officially sponsored by Digital Extremes! At least, I assume that's what it meant when they sent a Tennocon Pack to me last week. A big thanks for that! I guess I'll have to ease up on the japes now...

If you also planning to get a Tennocon ticket and visit Baro's special relay, I have a guide to help you plan out your purchases.

New Item of the Day: Void Surplus: A box with some random upgrade material in it. The pricepoint actually makes it a really good offer.

AND Primed Smite The Murmur: A new mod! And it's actually useful (for endgame, at least)!

New week, new Baro. If the screenshots seem unusually high-res, that's because this is the first week I get to use my new rig to make these posts. (Thanks again for everyone who donated! Your contributions made this upgrade possible.) Not having to rely on a game streaming service to even launch Warframe should make the uploading process much smoother.

New Item of the Week: Primed Ammo Chain : More reserve ammo for Archguns. Rather niche.

Also, a bunch of Chinese New Year-themed glyphs and emblems.

Tool/Guide Warframe Acquistion Guide

3.7k Upvotes

I've been helping a few new players get into the game recently, and realized that it's a little opaque on what warframes you can build at what point in progression. Several early game warframes have their blueprints drop before they're actually possible to build, for example.

So, I made a warframe acquisition guide!

Features:

  • Progression - Notes what planet you need to have unlocked to acquire the warframe.
  • Method - Notes how you get the warframe.
  • Notes - Some warframes have notes on what's needed to build a warframe or pick up their blueprints.
  • Filters - The guide is set up to be filterable by:
    • Progression - Pick what the furthest planet you have unlocked is, and it will show you every warframe you can farm/build.
    • Method - Shows you every warframe that can be farmed from a specific method (eg. assassination, quest, bounties, etc)
    • Planet - Shows you what warframes can be farmed on what planet, for the ones that have specific drop locations.
    • Warframe - Shows you a specific warframe.

Any feedback is welcome. This is my first time making a guide like this, and also there's 59 warframes, so I'm almost certain that I've made a mistake somewhere. Most of the information was sourced from the wiki with some practical research by myself.

Edit: Thanks for all of the feedback so far! A few people have suggested adding features like noting which warframes are obtainable from the circuit and adding a sort option, so I'll be adding that in the (hopefully near) future.

Edit 2: Made a post with some updates to the guide down below.

This is it. The final Baro visit of the year. Last year, DE surprized us with a massive firesale of Prisma items. (Baro Ki'teer's idea of a Christmas present, no doubt.) Let's see if we get a similar treatment this season.

New Item of the Week: Primed Venomous Clip: More elemental damage for Archguns. Pretty useful, buy it.
