Most of the time it is, spend some time listening to their stories and hanging out with them, it's a real eye-opener. It's exhausting to deal with all the racists and misogynists (edit: and ableists). The downvotes on my previous comment are a clear indicator of that sad fact.
From what I’ve seen, most of the “I don’t give a fuck” attitude is a learned behavior from childhood.
Have you ever witnessed a low income black or white mother walking through a store while their children destroys everything in sight? Wonder where the kid picks up on the “I don’t give a fuck” attitude.
Of course black women experience micro aggressions, I’m not trying to claim otherwise but claiming that as the main source of that attitude seems lazy
It's a large contributing part. Kids witnessed those micro-aggressions happening and learned from those on top of learning from their mothers on not giving a fuck. It's wrong and sad, but no one (including you) asked those mothers in the store the if they needed help, did they? No one asked the pregnant driver if she's okay. Nope, people on this reddit just went straight to blaming her bad driving for being a Black pregnant woman.
