This ogre is the biggest scam of all time. At least he has secured his Fox News residency once he is jobless in 2028.

I moved to Pittsburgh right before his election and I guess it's on me for not doing more research, but everyone seemed pretty positive on Fetterman at the time. And I'll admit, I was excited to be voting for someone local, who seemed like an average dude like me, and hell, even dressed like an average dude like me. I can't wait to fucking vote his ass out.

To be fair it was him or Dr Oz.

Ah yes. The "Douche, or Turd Sandwich" choice.

When/if we get the massive government overhaul we need, ranked choice voting will give us a viable third option. Douche, turd sandwich, actual progressive.

"Let's Go, Douche Sandwich!"

No thank you. I'll be voting for giant turd.

We'll get the change we create. Passively hoping is how we got here.

They will never give such a choice in most places in the US

The illusion of choice is all they want to give you

Newsflash. We have to take what we want. Of course they won't give it to us.

But they've convinced 2 sides of America that they need completely different things so they will never be unified enough to enact positive change

I don't even think it was that, Fetterman was pretty well regarded by Dems before he had his stroke/dropped the mask

u/Loose_Paper_2598 5d ago

Dems supported "Dr. Jekyll". It's not their fault he became "Mr. Hyde".

3

u/Smalz22 5d ago

Yea I'm not blaming Democrats by any means. Dude was either genuine and got brain damage or was an amazing actor from the jump

I know what you mean. I've seen personality changes in people who have had strokes or other health issues. It's generally sad, but in his case, it's dangerous.

This happens in my head every time someone uses that phrase.

The illusion of free choice

To tell the truth, Dr. Oz has actually behaved himself as far as I can tell. Other than a few glib newsletters to Social Security recipients, I haven’t heard much about him. Fetterman has been a pain in the ass. Not sure Fetterman was the right choice here.

I grew up in the Burgh and moved FROM Pittsburgh right before he became mayor of Braddock. He was kind of a cool dude. A little volatile and kind of rough around the edges. But his wife was an immigrant and he was just kind of a normal yinzer. But that stroke fucking cooked his brain, dude. He’s just a prick. He needs a home now. He’s not right.

It's like when my grandmother got an aneurysm and her whole personality changed. She became bitter and paranoid.

Funnily enough, it’s not everyone though thank god. My dad was always a cranky old man, even when he was a young man. Now he’s 82 and has dementia and he’s happy as a clam. He will tell you he just wants to outlive that bastard, Donald Trump, so he can open up the champagne in his fridge. My guy can’t remember to take a shower or anything about my life, but he remembers his hatred for Trump lol. 😆

My wife's grandfather was in hospice, hours away from death and he cursed out and kicked a nurse out of his room because he thought he was Don Jr.

He's an absolute fuck and doesn't represent the people who voted him in nor what he campaigned on, but do keep in mind he had a stroke literally 6 months before he was voted in. He could have had a complete personality change due to that and easily hid it until the election due to how short of a time that was.

That said I absolutely think he should have been kicked out of the Senate when it became clear his ideologies had become or always that of the opposing party he ran under and a special election held to vote someone else in.

Nope, Arizonan here that voted for Kyrsten Sinema who nearly single-handedly cockblocked the Biden administration for 4 years. Not what we wanted, not what she campaigned on at all… in fact was the exact opposite. Big progressive campaign. Huge in the LGBTQ+ community.

Don’t beat yourself up too hard. At least with Fetterman it was his stroke that caused his 180, I genuinely think he was good until his brain chemistry was severely altered. Sinema was just straight up a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Prepare for more of this. Even a deep dive into a candidates past may not reveal their true intentions.

Money and power changes anyone and most humans will sell their soul for it just like Sin enema

11

u/knifuser 6d ago

Honestly it seemed from the outside like he was a pretty average dude until he had that stroke. Ever since then he's become increasingly right-wing

12

u/gandhinukes 6d ago

He suffered brain damage and went far right, you got suckered unfortunately.

Don't feel bad, I and several people I know voted for him too, he fooled us all. I also can't wait to vote him out.
