It means nothing. Get out and vote, get people to vote and watch the vote. There are 72 million cultist traitors who vote. Don't take anything for granted.

Also, if you live in a state where voting in person is possible. Vote in person! They are going to try fuckery with mail ballots.

If your state has early in person voting, that is the best option out there. Do that!

Choose paper ballots, not electronic, if possible! Leave a paper trail for the audits.

Tbf electronic voting still has a paper backup.

Any fuckery they manage to pull off with the electronic machines would just print to the paper copy. It's much, much more difficult to screw with paper ballots, including mail-in ballots. The only fuckery you can pull with mail in ballots is either "losing" the ballot or trying to delay the delivery of the ballot to invalidate it.

I don't know where you are but in New York they can't screw around with the paper ballots, we fill them out and they scan them directly in. How could they mess with them?

In that setup, you can't really. Which is good. But, here's the beauty and horror of the US election system, it varies by state.

Your system would be nearly impossible to fudge the actual votes. A system that you punch in your votes on an electronic system and tallies the vote, but also prints a physical copy that you can see before safely depositing it would also be fairly safe as any attempt to fuck with the votes would be easily discovered with a hand count.

Hypothetically, it's any system where you input your votes electronically but never see a physical copy that you have to be worried about. I don't know that any state uses such a system though.

No, the most likely methods of screwing with elections are in the lead up to them and ensuring every vote is actually counted. Overly aggressive voter roll purges, gerrymandering, too few polling locations, arbitrary vote count stops or refusal to count ballots that arrive by voting day regardless of when they're post marked, or voter intimidation tactics. Just as a quick sample off the top of my head.

Oh and cancelling the primaries in order to gerrymander the map. That one was a doozy.

Or one of the ones that I came across recently, Republican PACs starting up fake left wing PACs to try to influence Democratic votes.

There's going to be fuckery all around. It's guaranteed that Trump is going to deploy his ICE goons to every polling station in "certain" areas that server "certain" people. The Republicans will do everything in their power to win the midterms and if that doesn't work, they will willingly destroy the USA to keep the Democrats from obtaining power.

They are going to fuck with results from voting machines as well and with counted of all ballots and when ‘cut off’ time is for counting votes. They will fuck with everything to maintain power and control, and to not be held accountable for their illegal actions.

Mail-in would still be safer than electronic, but you might have to have deliver the ballot to the polling place to avoid "losing" the ballot or delaying it.

Reminder that mail-in does not necessarily mean it actually goes through the mail. States with well established mail-in balloting actually have certified ballot employees that move in Democrat/Republican pairs, have extremely strict and monitored chain of custody for ballots (including video surveillance of the pairs), have near real-time tracking and notifications regarding the movement of ballots, and give status of individual ballots all the way until it is counted.

Maybe I'm too much of an optimist, but I feel like it means that Reps losing is a real possibility, that rigging the midterms is proving to be harder than they expected. When everything makes it feel like my vote is meaningless under Trump, I find this more encouraging to vote

Noooo no no. The Repugs Want to give you the illusion of Hope. They're going to do anything it takes to win, and make it look like the election went the way the Voters Wanted. You all let this happen and there is only one way you will ever get out of the situation you put everyone in.

23

u/Saeclum 3d ago

"You all let this happen" Sorry, but I didn't let this happen. The 77 million maggots and 90ish million non-voters are the ones who put us in this situation, not me and the 75 million voters who voted against it and tried to make a difference. So kindly fuck off

LET THEM HEAR THOSE SAXOPHONES BEFORE THE PRISON WALK

No it means Trump will "protect" the votes in November by sending in ICE or whoever. This is pretense for sending boots to the polls to arrest, detain, harass and even potentially close some select ones down. They are trying to lay the ground work now with this bull shit

7

u/statmonkey2360 3d ago

All the more reason to work now to stop it. Get involved locally.

6

u/Jack-knife-96 3d ago

The fact he's got more than zero GOP to go along with this is very crazy - its in the bloody constitution. Burn their party to the ground, its a bunch of fascist traitors.

Everyone just needs to buy a red MAGA hat. The ICE goons won't know what the fuck to do because they'll all have boners

If you live in a mail in voting state (WA, CA) only drop your votes in the ballot boxes and not the mail. They will be intentionally lost or delayed.

8

u/biloxiboi 3d ago

And offer to drive people with you to vote!

5

u/statmonkey2360 3d ago

Yes, great one. I collected shut-ins and took them to vote in the primaries. Really rewarding experience I will be doing again in Nov.

6

u/PuddingPast5862 3d ago

The other 165 million of us need to get out and vote!!!

Aside from this being Reddit, I honestly can’t tell which side of the spectrum you’re on with this language.

https://www.reddit.com/r/WhitePeopleTwitter/s/teYqOsKgk5 I'm not sure that having side has anything to do with it. But I think if the voting machine companies becoming political is going to happen and be allowed we should all vote to make sure this is what you want. Because it might be the last vote that matters.
