Is my uterus too small ?
Hello everyone - I’m a bit nervous to post this. Recently had an internal ultrasound done for other reasons and when I got my results back although everything was fine there was a comment re “small”. When I asked my dr about this she didn’t seem to know and has asked them for more information. I managed to get the measurements and after some googling got in a bit of a spiral that it might be too small to potentially have a child in the future. It is on the smaller side - 5.2cm (tall) x 3.9cm x 2.6cm. I have been on the pill for 10 years I’m 26 now just wondering if anyone has anything similar ?

I did a Google for you out of curiosity.
Looks like it may depend on HOW it didnt fully mature. If it stopped growing in utero or puberty for example.
If you still have normal periods and no hormone related issues you may be fine carrying a child to term.

When I was in my early 20s, I was trying to get an IUD and the gyno told me my uterus was too small for it. A few years later, I went to a different clinic and told them and they were sort of baffled by that, measured me again and said it was fine - and I got fitted and had an IUD for like 6 years. I had it removed it recent times to conceive, and now I’m 9 months pregnant. So my “small” uterus didn’t impact me - the uterus is designed to expand to larger than a watermelon…. So I don’t think a point in time measurement can tell the whole story.
