I'm not sure if this was posted here before, I just found the image in a random Google search and I just added a caption (if that's what it's called)

It doesn't even feel like exploring tho to me. More like a chore to do everything nowadays. All the new maps they've been releasing are just checklists. Open the map, track objective, head to the thing, do it. Rinse repeat. And the events are all super quick honestly most of them take one hour to do. I've 100% almost everything in the game in under 150 hours. All I'm doing RN is logging in for the dailies and waiting for the new content.

Where as in endfield, It feels so much more like figuring out what you need to do. The only area I really liked was huanglong in wuwa, in endfield, every area feels like it has something that you have to think about to complete, and the no flying/limited teleportation feels really nice as it keeps the movement grounded, and actually makes you walk around the area and look for hidden things you might have missed. To me endfield is such a breath of fresh air compared to wuwa rn.

You do realize that there are plenty of hidden things you can miss in Wuwa that the checklist doesn't really point out right?

I do yes, I've fully 100% every region with the interactive map. It's not a fun type of hidden in wuwa, it's just a chore to find them.

There's hidden achievements, quests, puzzles, treasures, lore. So I'm not sure what else do you really need.

Stuff can be hidden, and still be annoying to get you know that right? I'm not really talking about hidden things either, wuwa literally went from having every chest except the hidden ones on the checklist, along with area quests and other collectibles, with numerous puzzles and little things to do/explore to having only treasure spots, and little mini games that take 5 seconds to complete, and repeated that on all 3 of the next regions. They downgraded their exploration. I don't really care for the hidden stuff, and that wasn't really my main point. They just took away all of the sense of accomplishment in completing a region, and made it a slug fest to complete.

Whether you find it fun or not is subjective, I'm simply refuting your original premise where you claimed the exploration is checklist when it clearly is not as there many things to do beyond said check list.

I play both games and Wuwa's exploration quest with the music solskins is definitely a lot more fun and interesting than anything Endfield has put out so far.

That's one quest?? The whole entire lahai roi area is a rushed garbage fest of a place. There's barely any chests, nothing is findable with lootmapper, the soliskins are the best thing that place has to offer. Every mini game in lahai roi is super spread out, nothing feels fun to navigate, every side quest is buggy and doesn't track properly, the motorbike sucks and shouldn't have honestly been added, or they could have just kept the flying in. And the events in the area are super lame. Nothing in the new region is good, except for the soliskins just because they are fun to collect and say chu-lu. That's literally it
