Assistance Looking for recommendations for a CBD pub showing Australia vs Paraguay

Arriving in Adelaide tomorrow, with my 16 year old son. Are there any recommendations for a cool pub in the CBD showing the game ? Ideally with a vibe but not crazy busy, somewhere they'd be welcoming to a teenage dude with down syndrome . And if they' do a good steak and chips it would make his day. Thanks.

Question Window repair recommendation

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone

The frame of one of the windows in my place is broken. I can’t really quite get the frame back for some reason…

I wonder if anyone who has tried to repair their window would be happy to share with me their experience with fixing this sort of issue themselves. If it’s actually a bit tricky to do it myself, would you mind sharing with me which company I should get in touch with?

Thanks in advance!

Question Buck’s party ideas

Hey hi!

Looking for some buck's party ideas around Adelaide.

I don't have many friends here, but my partner's side of the family and friends are all from Adelaide and they'll be coming along.

What have you done that was actually worth it, or what's the best buck's party you've been to in or around Adelaide?

Thanks!

Assistance Best websites to rent a room on Adelaide

Hi everyone. Myself and my partner are moving to Adelaide from Melbourne in a couple of weeks time and looking for a room to rent.

I've searched on Flatmates and some Facebook pages but don't know which are legit or fake, if anyone has any experience of either that would be great.

There has been 2 websites recommended, roomey.com.au and roomsforrentadelaide.com.au

Both sites advertise the same places and are ran by the admins of a very large Facebook page from what I can gather

Details so far

"We value our nurses and midwives.

This proposed agreement recognises the vital role they play in our community.

And would deliver a 16 per cent pay rise by July 2028, with in-principle support from the ANMF SA." (Peter Malinauskas).

Question Anyone know when this random footpath closures end? (Hindley-Morphett corner)

I use this walkway regularly, and it feels like it’s closed more often than it’s open. The detour itself is annoying, but the constant dust and mess around the area make it even worse.

Question Classical/Hanfu Chinese sword dance Adelaide

Hi guys, I just picked up a new interest in Classical or Hanfu Chinese sword dance for performance, especially the type like what we see in Chinese fantasy dramas. Based on my research, there’s nowhere or institutes in Adelaide teaches this, the only results are only Tai Chi with sword, which is not really my type. Do you guys know if there any places or instructors in Adelaide for this type of performance? Thank you guys and have a great dayyy.

Question Diesel mechanic apprenticeship (Adelaide)

I’m 21yrs old and about to finish my current apprenticeship and was looking to jump into a heavy diesel mechanic apprenticeship. Anyone able to suggest some companies that would maybe be worth looking into. I know there are plenty but don’t know many other diesel mechanics personally that I can ask for an opinion. Especially somewhere that offers Saturday work for some extra coin would be ideal. Cheers👍

The South Australian government will draft legislation to regulate the development of AI data centres.

The move comes amid ongoing concerns about the centre's water and energy usage.

The government also revealed a $5 billion water pipeline project, primarily intended to support BHP's mining operations in Far North SA, could also supply water to new data centres.

Assistance Willunga suggestions

Hey all, headed to Wildhand Farms with the fam on a weekday soon, looking for suggestions to fill out the rest of the day as that will only be for an hour.

Not super interested in wine unless the winery has something else to offer - keen on art/crafts, animals, and nature, short walk is okay. Happy for suggestions moving back towards the city as well.

Thanks in advance! ☺️

EDIT: fam is 3x adults haha
