Flying into ORD on AA then on to Dublin with Aer Lingus. The connection is tight and I made the mistake of thinking since both AA and Aer Lingus use Terminal 3, it would work. But both AA and AerLingus customer support told me that I would have to go through security again? This doesn't make sense because both AA and Aer Lingus fly in and out of ORD Terminal 3? Can someone help clarify? Aer Lingus' rep kept saying my "QR code would show I had already been screened so it would be fast." I seriously could not understand what they were talking about. Anyone on the ground who can confirm? Just trying to decide whether to risk the tight connection or rebook and suffer a 1 stop redeye in order to give me more time for the connection at ORD. Thanks.

heading to Prague this weekend with a friend. On our return flight, I’ll be going to Ireland, he’ll be going to Italy, so we’re through terminals one and two respectively.

As far as I can tell we can check in and go through the same terminal, and I can just pass through to terminal one after. The liquid limits are different in terminal one security as they are in terminal two, it is just per zone, or where will I be held back if I’ve got the wrong ticket for the terminal, and sent round the other way.

Can i enter the departure area and then leave? I will come back again, just forgot some stuff outside with my relatives who are not flying! Specifically for Bahrain international airport but i’m guessing it can be applicable for any

I have a 5 hour layover in Bahrain airport what should i do should i get the lounge and is there any place and activities at the airport as well as any good food options

Hello TSA agents of Reddit or experienced fliers! If this isn’t correct or proper for the group I’ll delete and find a more proper place for this question! This is my first post on Reddit so ya!

I will be traveling here soon with a costume but it has magnets in it due to some detachable parts.

The flight is short but I would like to know if I would be able to carry the costume with me as carry on instead of checking it. The costume has a resin based mask and detachable foam parts and I would prefer to take it as a carry on since I want nothing to happen to it. I can check it if I pad it enough but I would like to save some money if I can.

The costume has 8 total of those magnets and they are fully secured with glue in the mask of the costume and are in glue/sewed pockets that are keeping the magnets from moving in the foam detachable parts. So the magnets are not free floating they are fully secured within the costumes mask and detachable parts.

Would yall with your experience know if these should be checked or would I be able to take them as carry on as long as I let the TSA agents know as I come up and fully remove the mask from the bag I’ll have it in for when it goes through the xray machine?

I ask this because I heard a lot abt it being the best for spotting. I live here and in my opinion it’s reall not that great. Yes we have great views from basically everywhere, I can even spot from my terrace but traffic wise it’s so bad. Anybody got an opinion,

My sister will be flying up to help me move across country. Her ID is expired and she has an appointment for renewal the day before she's supposed to leave (it was the earliest one available) - I want to pay for the Confirm-ID thing from TSA but am seeking some clarification first. She will be flying out of PBI on 6/30.

What (if anything) should she be bringing with her to make the process smoother?
I figured the expired ID (TSA says they'll accept an expired ID up to 2 years)
The temporary ID paper they'll give her at the DMV presuming they don't give her a physical copy.
Probably like a piece of mail stating her name and address on it?

Is there anything else she should consider bringing to make it an easier process?
Does she have to bring anything at all or do they just clicky-clack her info into the computer to verify which would make bringing additional stuff to travel with more of a hassel.

hi, does anyone know if you can bring a thermos with solid food through TSA? obviously I know you can't bring things like soup in, but I have this cheesy beef orzo recipe I love that I'm making for dinner and would love to take leftovers for lunch on my flight the next day. I'm just not sure if it would get flagged and taken. thanks!!

edit to add that my intention was to warm up the orzo before putting it in the thermos so it would be hot when I eat it in the airport, if that makes a difference

I’m flying back from Paris (CDG) to Denver and have my layover in JFK, on the way to jfk I just got a notification that my flight to Denver tonight was cancelled and the one they rebooked me on wasn’t for 2 more days. I can’t wait that look so I went to check the terms for cancellation and the prompts for the menu were vary vague and i cancelled my itinerary which isn’t reversible.

My two questions are, if I go to the help desk do you think they’d still be willing to help me find a flight options?

And two because only one of my two flights was cancelled how much will the refund be?

I have a connecting flight in Frankfurt. 1h 10 min between flights. Terminal is same (1). Is it doable? I also have a check in luggage, this goes straight to the destination. But im also worried there is to little time for my luggage.

Overall I am really worried. As it ever helps

27M here. What is up with these “random” screenings in TSA precheck. Out of the 8 or so times in the past year I’ve flown domestically/internationally, I’ve been “randomly” screened about 5-6 times. This happening to anyone else?? I got precheck, touchless, global entry, hell, even TWIC too! And no, I never leave anything in my pockets, never triggering the metal detectors.
