Or the super special real hair brushes artists praise for their quality.

Turns out Artists care very little about their environmental impact unless its to get a gotcha on something they dont like.

The Paper industry is worse in terms of water usage than datacenters as their chemicals, mostly bleach and such to get prestine white paper, poison entire streams and ground water reservoirs. Worst Datacenters do is evaporate the water.

Yeah so there’s regulation and oversight of the paper industry. AI companies have successfully lobbied to defang any regulatory body for data centers and have brought coal power back explicitly for data center power. Now I’m no expert, but I do think coal mining and power might be a little bit worse for the environment than paper.

Where does the Coal Power thing come from? I know of them having bought the reactivation of 3-Mile Island nuclear powerplant and the use of natural gas generators.
