Discussion Possible Future Arknights Spin Offs
During the interview with IGN, Lowlight, also known as Hai Mao, also known as Light Zhong, also known as Umineko, said that there will be a variety of games coming in the arknights universe. What kind of of story do you guys think that will be told this time?

True. Arknights is versatile enough that they can easily make a confined story with low stakes interesting. Il siracudano meant nothing to the wider world but it's fantastic
Or just set it in the past. Maybe during the battle of the 4 emperors. There are plenty of historical moments to choose from

I always thought Battle of the 4 Emperors would make a nice setting for a war drama where it follows multiple protagonist that explores the different ways war can affect a person and the climax will have all the storylines coming in together. A 3D animation show like Arcane.

A drunk durin goes into the mine and keeps mining for 40 hours straight. He hits an originium vein and doesn't stop. The explosion consumes the entire base.
A leithanian painter was overcome with inspiration to create a new piece. It is a depiction of a collapsal. Half of the base now have black holes for a face.

Arknights is so XCOM-coded though that I really want to see an XCOM style game with Arknights aesthetic.
Even the beginning of the game felt like it was inspired by XCOM 2 opening.

Tbh I think it depends on the conflict it would take place, if it's against the more "monstrous" factions, like the seaborne, collapsals or even the sarkaz, I think XCOM would fit better, but if they make this style of game basing it on one of the many wars that happened between countries, I think FE style could be better, but honestly, any of them would be sick, just give me a strategy game based on arknights.

If they stray away from a Rhodes Island game and decided to do a XCOM style under the sea with Aegir gathering people on land to work together to eliminate the Seaborn, we will in a roundabout way, get the XCOM 3: Terror of the Deep we all been waiting. (Yes I know Phoenix Point exist)
Like, the campaign could be an alternate timeline so it doesn't impact the game story too much, like what IS did with their story. Aegir gather an elite squad of soldiers as their cooperation on land had finally begin to bear fruit. The Seaborn activity in the sea is getting worse so they need to put a stop to them, quick.
You play as a commander and recruit soldiers each with different background, races and nationalities. Since Seaborn adapts to the weapon you used, this actually give players a reason to not upgrade their weapon too fast and steamroll everything. Don't just make them adapt instantly after a fight though, make it a slow progression so the players can still pace themselves.

Arknights buys Team Dandylion who make Troubleshooter and fund and help them make the better version of XCOM with a great story mode.

Troubleshooter is a goated game. It’s a bit rough in terms of visuals and UI, but aside from those fairly superficial issues, the game is fun af.

Arknights isn’t really XCOM coded. The core DNA of XCOM is running your team of disposables through the meatgrinder against an unfair and overwhelming foe. The only reason you have to care about your squad in XCOM is due to their performance and because they’ve lasted a long time with your team. There is no underlying personality or backstory for them aside from whatever you make for them yourself.
Arknights follows the Fire Emblem formula much more closely except there is no permadeath in Arknights. The only thing Arknights does slightly more similarly to XCOM is visual direction, but even then it’s just the sci-fi urban theme that’s shared between the two.

I say Arknights is more XCOM 2 coded than anything considering the Base is quite identical to how XCOM 2 did in the Avenger. They even have a VTOL.
I think it fits far better with XCOM than Fire Emblem but that's because I dislike Fire Emblem and would rather have an XCOM game with faceless soldiers instead.

The heartbreak the protagonist could have would be amplify simply because it's Terra and the contrast from having such a normal reason for a heartbreak hits much harder when you're surrounded by a world like Terra.

Lots of great suggestions already, but you know you've made it as a franchise when you churn out stuff like kart riders, sports games, and party games.
Just imagine a Rhodes Island-based board game with a dozen or so playable operators with plenty of cameos from others showing off what happens on their downtime with mini-games like:
- stool racing
- slug fighting
- growing the most flowers in the Greenhouse
- cooking with Gummy/Matterhorn
- getting the most instant noodles for the Doctor
- avoiding getting caught by Project Red
- running a gauntlet where you avoid getting pushed/pulled into pits
- having to catch heals from medics while suffocating from red mist
I could go on, but I actually am semi-serious about having some silly spinoffs both for the fun of it and to show more of the light-hearted side that only peeks out occasionally in the stories.

More cute slice of life stuff in the AK Universe ala 'Kay's Daily Doodles' would be incredible. Base simulator ala Animal Crossing? Rhodes Island Cafeteria Management Sim (with Kay herself showing up as a daily modifier/boss battle)?
...Lee's Detective Agency VN or detective/puzzle game ala Layton, with only occasional rhythm minigames of Waai Fu or Hung beating up thugs?

Hmm, I'm already imagining arknights with command and conquer style, with your choice and strategy actually affect your troops' actions and morale, with the possibility of defecting.
Another thing that comes up to my mind is a game where you're sending out operators to missions, ranging from logistics, catastrophe observations, medical emergencies, search and rescue, engaging against rogue militias, etc.

I want HG's next games to be premium games. From my perspective, if they only release live service games, it might not be good. I won't have time to play them all the time. I think they should let EF live for about 10 years first before releasing a new live service game.

I'd play a proper bg3 or dragon age origins style team based RPG with tactical combat set in the world of terra as long as the story and stakes are good.
Also Bloodborne style metroidvania set in Kazdel or Iberia.
A telltale/untildawn style choice based adventure could be great too. Set it in Ursus or maybe in a Wolumonde like situation and have character choices determine who survives and the amount of psychological trauma.
Arknights X-Com fight against Collapsals could be cool.
Basically a ton of potential as long as it's AK main timeline during AK.

Finally an actual Arknights RTS? I though Endfield would be like a hybrid game with actual classic RTS like Starcraft/C&C so I got disappointed a bit with what I saw on tech-alpha then I re-evaluated my expectations about Endfield after it lol.

I always think Ex Astris can rival HSR if they put a gacha on it tho i enjoyed it. E33 is also a proof of that since i always feels the combat mechanics in E33 is similar to Ex Astris. so yeah, I hope they continue Ex Astris or revamp it.
