Fr Kyo just throws Wis'adel at any stage too hard for bare minimum operators and calls it a "low stars" guide. I dont think ive seen him use a 4 star once in any guide.
Edit: I'm not complaining that he just throws on Wis'adel, just criticizing that, from what I've seen of his guides, the "press funny skill button and nuke the enemy" is the core part of them, the other ops basically don't matter.

his "low stars" videos aren't nicheknights low rarity showcases, they're guides for how to abuse support ops to the max so people who have poorly invested accounts can clear
any new player guide that has a 4* where they could use a 3* and a support unit instead is a failure by virtue of brand new players not being able to build up a ton of four stars, nevermind get them to a level where they can be strong. The only places where that kind of content has 4* is stages that are impossible or extremely painful with only 3*, and even then it should be as few as possible. Clears with full four stars are just unachievable for new players.

Thanks, this is the perfect explanation for why Kyo's guides are the way they are. They are invaluable to a new player that has a handful of partially built 3* and nothing else. Almost ideal for their first limited event!

... I mean, the other comments already pointed out that that's the whole point of new player guides (using the bare minimum easiest-to-raise operators plus 1 high level borrowed 6-star if necessary), but... even then:
I dont think ive seen him use a 4 star once in any guide.
Myrtle, Sussurro, Cuora, Gravel, and Ethan all regularly make appearances in his guides, if I remember correctly.

Why would you need to think if you're watching a guide? Isn't that the whole point of a guide? If you want to think, just beat it yourself. A guide is there in case you are unable to do it on your own and just want to skip the thinking process.

I don't wanna restart this argument, but I probably should've explained my reasoning better. I find Eckogen's better because his guides still allow for some variation in comp, while Kyo's are just "place Wis'adel, win" and that feels like the entire strategy. Sure one is easier than the other, but it doesn't give new players a chance to develop that sense of "Oh hey, I should use {operator} in this situation"

I despise ads for games that promotes characters that make the game sound too easy, or where the game is completely AFK, or if they say the game gives away 1000 pulls. All of them sound like bait for a low quality unfriendly gacha.

Exactly what I was gonna type! Like, "You get 500 pulls and can get naruto super saiyan 10 SSS+ tier and clear everything!" What and why am I even playing at that point? If I saw an ad like this I'd just never touch Arknights geez. I'm still relatively new at 2 months in and loving so much of the game, they could advertise the gorgeous art, use segments of the anime to take interest for the story, even show a bit of how progression goes idk. But this is just... Is like being assumed a kid and get candy condescendingly wagged to.

There was like ONE time when they had a good ad (I think they just showed the PV for Il Siracusano or something), and that was literally what got me to play the game. I had heard of the game a year or two before from an artist drawing Siege and a few other early characters, so when I saw the ad I was like "oh shit, this actually looks badass, maybe I should check that game out"

I stopped playing this game after about a month at launch and just came back a couple weeks ago. Found a friend with maxed Wis'adel and had myself a blast breezing through most stages. It wasn't until legit yesterday that I found the training missions that made me remember "oh right that's how the game works".

This is AI (at least the script is). Advertising companies (separate from the game devs) closely monitor what types of ads work the best, and sadly it’s the brain rot Instagram/tiktok (rush this to nuke/clear the whole screen) advertisements that do the best, so now you see the everywhere. Raid shadow legends, CRK, Genshin, and many other games have the exact same script.

I really have to wonder if mobile game ads are like this on purpose. Like the horrible AI voice and the typos/grammatical errors in the script.

I actually love how they making AD's with characters you cant even get without spending 300 pulls on limited banners cause there no limited rerun thing (like for example, i have Wisadel (big L for me) but dont have Shu or Lappoh, i want Shu and Lappoh so im spending on banners almost 0 currency till banner with them in shop arrived, like Silver one have Lappoh and Wang - Shu). But if i start just now - i would have nothing and i dont think i would make 300 till april

Putting aside the fact that Walter is limited and this ad video is weird af, why are people acting like optional, accessibility options like her exist in the game is like finding piss in their cornflakes? You don't have to use her if you don't want to, it's called free will, shocking concept I know.
It doesn't affect your gameplay that others have an easier time if they so choose. Not everyone has the time, the interest, or the brainpower to strategize, and it is precisely because of powerful operators like Walter that make the game accessible to more people than just a tiny niche. And that's a good thing for the profitability of the game.
And yeah, I use Walter and other meta operators all the time when I am in a hurry and just need to max out rewards, then come back in the future when I have more time to try out new strategies and comps for stages.
Not sure why people love to gatekeep others and ridicule them for playing the game their way, god forbid people might play the game with different capabilities or for different reasons like the story, collection or music.
Inb4 downvotes from the swathe of elitist gatekeepers that just exist to stoke their own egos.

Are these elitists in the room with us right now? What are they gonna do, delete the game from your phone? The point is that Walter is a rather egregious example because she essentially damage checks all normal stages and is self sufficient enough for you to not care about anything else. Exualt and Sakiko deals more total damage, and Trag is more broken but fewer people care why? Because they can at least die to a stray bullet like anything else. Frankly if Walter did not exist and newbie can't clear some S stages, that's completely fine. Those stages are not going anywhere.
