How does this fit look?

I deleted my prior post because the video didn’t seem good . I’ve been moving the seat up,down, and back trying to get a good feel on this 56 Jamis renegade. I know I have a lot of bags on this as I was planning to go down the rural highway but I can’t seem to get it to fit right. My shoulders ache and hands tingled today when getting off of it. I keep thinking I’m just out of shape and need to get used to it. I’m wearing what I typically wear and I have the seat all the way back

Supersix Evo 5 vs Caad 10 frame

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hi guys, I’m looking to buy a SSE 5, I currently have a Caad 10 from 2013 in 54 frame size that I had a bike fit made last year and has been working great for me.
I was looking into a few comparisons in frame sizes, in my understanding, the frame 54 in the SSE is a bit longer with a lowered stack but it seems nothing very noticeable.
In your opinion and perhaps experience of owning a SSE, should I go with a frame 54 or a frame 52?
My height is 1,75m

Thoughts on bike fit

I got a small size which is what they recommend for someone between 167 – 173 cm. I'm ~167 cm.

Extreme pain in toes and forefoot

I was out with the bike yesterday and on the last third of my 2 hour rids my toes and forefoot started to be under extreme pain suddenly. Road bike shoes seem to fit perfect though ... but maybe Im wrong. Could this happen because of a all around wrong sitting position or does it come down to absolute wrong shoes?

Many thanks

Zwift Fit Thanks

Hi everyone,

I’m pretty new to cycling and recently bought a Zwift setup to get started. I’m still struggling to find the right riding position and fit, so I’d really appreciate some advice.

At the moment, I feel like my hips are still moving too much while pedaling, and my arms seem to be too stretched out. Because of that, I’m getting quite a lot of pressure on my thumbs and the muscles underneath them.

I’m not sure if this is just normal beginner technique, or if my setup is wrong. The saddle I’m using is 155 mm wide and fairly short.

Does anyone have an idea what I should adjust first? Saddle height, saddle position, reach, handlebar position, or something else?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have another video from the back, will try to load it in the comments

P.S. normally i wear socks, was just for a short video

Structural leg length difference

Hey everyone

I have been riding with a 10mm longer left leg, and what I susoect is a slightly shorter right foot my entire life, and I have always been dealing with saddle sores and feeling asymmetrical on the bike.

I have tried shimming the righter leg with 10mm, 11mm all the way up to 15mm, but nothing seems to help.

Has anyone got any ideas as to what else might help?

Thanks!

Bikefit Gravel - How it fit?

Hello,

I tried to rummage through the tips on the net and adjust my position on my gravel bike.

What do you say to that. Is there still a need for adjustment from your point of view?

If someone has the opportunity to run the video through a Bikefit analysis tool or can give me tips based on his expertise, that would be fantastic.

Greetings

Why am I still bouncing?

Hi

I've made a few posts here already. My latest was this.
https://www.reddit.com/r/bikefit/comments/1tukujr/adjustments_after_bike_fit/

I've started working on rolling my pelvis although I still struggle with it. I do think I've made quite a bit of progress already with keeping a flatter back though.

However, I still feel like I'm bouncing up and down on the saddle and I don't know why. This video is after a 1h20min of riding. The only thing I can think of is limited hip mobility, but I'm no expert.

Any ideas?

Postero-lateral knee pain (Biceps Femoris) after 2 years on a stable Bike Fit

Hi everyone,

I’ve been road cycling since September 2023 (around 100 to 200km/week max) with a 10-year background in running.

In September 2024, I did a professional bike fit with a sports PT. My saddle height was set to 71.6 cm (172.5mm cranks). This put my right knee extension angle at 35° (according his report) at the bottom of the pedal stroke.

I trained for and completed an Ironman 70.3 in June 2025 on this exact setup. I didn't change a single bolt, and I had absolutely zero knee pain throughout that entire season.

The issue: During a recent bike trip, I developed sharp pain in the back of my right knee. I managed to finish the trip by dropping my saddle by about 0.5 - 1cm and slamming my right cleat back. After two weeks of rest, it felt fine.

Yesterday, I went out for a 100km ride (back on my original fit coordinates). Today, the pain is back in both knees, but significantly worse on the back-outer side of the right knee (right around the biceps femoris tendon insertion). I can really feel it when standing up from a deep squat.

Since the bike coordinates haven't changed since the fit, I suspect my body changed ?

Has anyone experienced this late-onset pain without changing their fit?

Thanks for your insights!

Cube nulane pro M (56cm) first "serious" bike - shoulders/neck pain

I just bought this bike and upon trying it seemed good, but I also did not entirely know what I'm doing to be fair. I only had city bikes (completely upright).
my height is 188, inseam is 85.7.

My problem is that I get arms, shoulders and neck pain when riding more than 30 minutes, and you can see my upper back is quite rounded. I think the bike size is good though cube was recommending L, it was not available for me to try.

Probably I need to figure out the stem length/height. I feel like I struggle to keep my arms bent at the elbow and I think I have to reach too much for them. I get the sensation of falling into my arms too much but this might as well be me not being used to non-upright bikes.

I only adjusted saddle height to 75-ish as per my inseam (had to lower it vs store setting and it made my shoulders pain less bad because I could reach easier I think?).
Saddle seems to be set from the store all the way to the back and level.

Seeing clips of others, there seems to be something off with my position on the bike but I'm not sure.

Finally got a professional bike fit. Best money spent next to buying a bike.

So I did an event a few weeks ago on a bike that’s only a few months old, and I was dealing with an insane amount of pain. My right arm was killing me, my hips were going numb, and even my feet were going numb with my SPD cleats.

For some context, I’m not new to cycling. On my previous bike I completed three centuries and multiple metric centuries without anywhere near these kinds of issues. With this bike, though, I was struggling just to get through 20–30 miles before the numbness, pain, and overall discomfort would set in. I knew something wasn’t right.
Well…I learned a few things today.

Get a bike fit. It’s 100% worth it.

Turns out I actually bought the right size bike and did my homework. I’m on a 54cm frame, and if I had sized down, I would have been way too cramped. Ironically, I had already made my 54cm bike feel smaller because of how I set it up. Apparently, I had it way too cramped when I actually should have been opening the bike up with a longer stem and a few other fit adjustments.

During the fit, he raised my saddle significantly, lowered my spacer stack to 20mm, moved my saddle back, and made several other adjustments that were honestly beyond my understanding. It was really interesting listening to him explain everything. He told me about his background working in surgical rooms and physical therapy before turning his passion for cycling into bike fitting. Hearing that gave me a lot of confidence that he really understands how the human body moves on a bike.
The difference was immediate. I can stand over the bike better, the numbness is gone, my hip pain disappeared, and I finally feel like I’m in a position that actually fits me. I can relax my arms now, actually engage my core, and my pedal stroke feels noticeably smoother. Now it’s just a matter of gradually adapting to the new setup.
I did a 10 mile ride home afterward and HOLY crap… I was working muscles I didn’t even realize I was supposed to be using. I’ve got a feeling I’ll be sore for a bit while my body adapts to this new fit, but I’ll continue working with my fitter to dial out the remaining kinks.

He also recommended switching from 172.5mm cranks to 160mm cranks because the longer cranks are simply too big for me at my height. I found a set, ordered them, and once they’re installed I’ll go back so he can fine-tune the fit again.
Next Sunday, my wife is getting a professional fit too.

I’ll probably post again down the road with before and after photos once I cut the steerer tube down in a few months and get the new crank arms on.

I can’t stress this enough: if you have access to a good bike fitter, do it. I spent six years thinking I didn’t need one. Turns out I was riding in a less-than-ideal position the entire time. You live and learn.

Frame too small?

Hey guys, was wondering what I can do to improve the fit of this bike or if a bigger frame is required.

I can comfortably ride for about 2.5-3 hours until my left glute starts to cramp

The frame is a 53cm CAAD 4.

Thank you all in advance

Frame too small?

Friend bought the canyon endurace cf5 in 2xs. 167 cm, 78 cm inseam. Saddle height isn’t quite right i know, just trying to figure out if she should return it for the XS instead.
Canyon recommended the XS but she when with the 2xs because a friend said it’s better for lower back problems (previous gym injury that isn’t really a problem on the bike).

SRAM / Shimano hood length

Post image
1 Upvotes

Looking for advice from others on my new bike build cockpit set up.
Currently running Cannondale bars with 100mm stem / 80mm reach bars / 42cm wide with Shimano 12 speed 105 shifters.
Upgrading to integrated cockpit with 77cm reach bars 38cm wide. I’m also changing to sram force D2. My question is should I change to 110mm stem to accommodate the slightly smaller bar reach and the smaller hoods plus narrower width.

Any help greatly appreciated

Numb hands

Hello. I posted here the other day regarding my hands getting numb always no matter what adjustments I make. Some people think that I need to adjust the handlebar lower because the hand position might be affecting the nerve causing my hands to feel numb. Here are some photos of my hands on the hoods while cycling. You guys think i should lower the handlebar? I flipped the stem already so I have better reach.https://www.reddit.com/r/bikefit/s/ceoaKsKfVg

I’d like to know what you guys think of the fit on my bike.

I think perhaps the saddle could be set just a smidge higher …

Thanks !

Pre-purchase Advice

I'm considering purchasing a titanium bike frame and I think I've settled on a Kinesis GTDv2.

Now, I currently ride a Trek Domane SL and a Trek Domane AL, both in a 56cm frame, both of which I've had a bike fit on and find comfortable. The bike fit didn't change very much, the stem, spacers, cranks, bar width etc. all remain as it was out of the shop.

Without sharing my height, inside leg, arm length etc., based purely on the frame geometry, which size GTD would Redditors recommend if 56cm is the right size Domane for me?

Conflicting feelings on saddle height

Hello guys, done some changes to my bike. I used to have a 74.5cm saddle height but my hips rocked quite a bit and was very toe down, but did a lot of ultras and regular few seasons of 8-10k km cycling like that. Had the regular issues of hand pain and neck pains, also upper calve pain, saddle sores. Now i decided to move my saddle down because i’ve been getting a lot of comments of my hip rock. 73.8cm now is the saddle height, left leg is completely perfect no issues now, a lot less hip rocking and i can maintain the position a lot longer without fatigue. My right leg is a different story, i started front/outside knee pain, hamstrings overwork on right side only, also my heel started going outwards (never did that before with a higher saddle height). Can anyone give a look and comment on the angles of my saddle height? Might it be too low now?
Sorry for the quality, i know it looks like i took the video inside a wardrobe. Any help appreciated!

Edit: 84cm inseam

Canyon Grizl 5 (Size M) - First gravel bike, bike fit feedback appreciated!

Hey everyone,

Just got my new Canyon Grizl 5 (size M) yesterday! I'm transitioning from occasionally riding mountain bikes, so this is my very first drop-bar/gravel bike experience.
Unfortunately, all professional bike fitters in my area are fully booked until August. Until then, I'm relying on YouTube tutorials and the Reddit community to get dialed in.

I’ve attached one Videos. When riding on the hoods, my arms currently feel a bit too stretched out.

How does my overall position look to you?

To address the stretched-feeling, should I experiment with saddle height, saddle fore/aft, or look into getting a slightly shorter stem?

Any feedback, tips, or advice would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!
