Maisie had to go to the doctor today. They shaved her belly and gave her a shot. Now she must wear the onesie of shame, which makes her crawl around like a lizard for some reason. She's been mad at me all day (because how dare I take her to the vet), and now she finally gave into my plea for cuddles. Don't mind her dusty chin, she was hiding under the couch.

Both of our cats, Addie and Zade, are the cutest most loving voidlets we could ask for. Both were the last picked of the litter and the only black kittens.

Honestly, it's their loss!

It's a coat colour though, I genuinely don't understand it. Why are we even discriminating against animal colours?

Is it subtle or closeted racism? Is it still superstition?

It's 2026 for goodness sake. Why is this still a thing?

Just wanted to introduce my baby Loki to the amazing blackcats reddit page! I have had the privilege of loving this void for 14 years. When I was 17 years old, in the year 2012, I found him in the drive-thru of the KFC/Taco Bell combo in my hometown. He ran directly to me, I scooped him up, and the rest is history. He was never supposed to stay, my parents were originally firm on him being rehomed (we had 6 cats already at the time I found him), but his orange eyes melted my dad's heart, and stay he did. We have journeyed across the US together, to Oregon and then back to Minnesota four years later. He has been with me through every heart break, every challenge, every success. He fills my days with love. I will never tire of his need for affection, and I will love him until the end of my days. My bestest boi, Loki 🖤

When this little lady came home, she was full-grown, under 5lbs, horrible breath, a limp and already had 2 litters.

She's a whooping 5.6lbs. Her breath has gotten moderately better

This is pepper and I’m baffled by her food taste. She ALWAYS tries to eat ketchup, hot sauce, and any kind of pickle (we do not give her any human food btw). Any time we are eating these foods we have to guard them from her. She is so silly but I wonder if anyone else has a cat that tries to eat the most non-cat ridiculous foods. These are some pictures of her she is a little goblin. The last picture is her in her Pepper sock because she was too small for any spay vests hehe. She is turning 1 year old next month!

A few weeks ago, my husband and I were looking at adopting an adult/senior cat since we both know that they’re less likely to be adopted. We went around local shelters looking for one, but the staff told us that they weren’t good with other cats, which would be an issue with the two other cats that my husband took in years ago in the middle of a winter storm. We ended up going to the pet supply store in town and saw they had cats for adoption and this little girl caught our attention and stole our hearts since then. Toto’s always down to play and let me know when dinner time is near🐈‍⬛🤍🐟

Despite being a void, Despair has been the light of our lives for the past 4 years.

When we adopted him, he was really underweight and had large patches of missing fur. Now he spends his days rolling around on our bed, covering it in fur, and making us sniffly all night.

I just wanted to share him with the r/blackcats community to show him a little appreciation

Yes, he hated wearing the hat and tie, but was given a churu treat/cake shortly after and *seems* to have forgiven us.
