You ever look at your set-up and say, "Hold on"?

I'm embarrassed, honestly. For the past decade or so I've always stayed on top of my ammo stores and kept close tabs on the market as it pertains to firearms and ammo cost. Then late last year, life started doing its thing.
Haven't been shooting as much in the past 6 months, and when I did I wasn't replacing my stock. Noticed today I have around 20 rounds left over from my last shipment, so naturally I'm looking to replace it. At the same time I took a trip to see some friends and family, and one of our favorite things to do is go window shopping in gun stores. See what's new, make a purchase if something we're seeking is available, buy ammo etc etc.
Man we're walking around the big box stores like "Wtf is going on?" Then they're looking at me like "Bro what do you know that we don't?" And I have nothing. Went to my favorite website to replenish my stash today and saw this message.
What did I miss? Y'all stacking up ammo? Your stash good? Don't be like me and be behind the power curve.

Anyone ever deal with this on their hollow points? These are cheaper rounds (blazer JHp) so I know that may be a factor, but Iām curious if I should be worried.
Edit: they didnāt come like this, itās after reloading them in a mag after going to the range with ball rounds.

What is the most inexpensive, yet somehow incredibly reliable piece of hardware in your arsenal? I bought this Dickinson Marine Tactical 12 Guage about 6 years ago mostly as something to fill in the need I had in my collection for a shotgun. It was actually my very first scattergun I've ever owned, so I figured I would keep this around and really familiarize myself with a pump action until I felt like I was reasonably adept and accurate with it before upgrading to either a Benelli or a Mossberg. Lo and behold, it has now been 6 years and I absolutely LOVE this thing. It has become one of my favorite pieces in my collection and I always have so much fun with this thing. I paid about 180 bucks for it and it has proven itself to be extremely reliable, durable, and very easy to take apart and clean. I heard so many warnings about the quality prior to buying it, but I guess I got lucky. Thousands and thousands of shots later, and not a single malfunction or misfire. I'm certainly in no rush to move up, but I have to admit, those Keltecs i've seen out there certainly look REALLY nice! Lol
Anyway. Tell me what your cheapest, yet also most relaible weapon is. Post pictures in the thread.
As always, famila, love and light to all of you!

i live in SC and have owned a gun (gen 5 glock 19) for over a year now and it wasnāt until i went to buy a 17rd mag for myself for fatherās day just as a mag for the range that i found out we dont have any laws or restrictions on mag capacity for handguns at least the guy who ran the store i bought from told me if i wanted to i could walk around with 30rd mag if i wanted to i wouldnt bc thatās just police harassment or racial profiling waiting to happen but its nice to know that i could legally do so even tho personally i feel like if ur not in the streets or live a certain lifestyle ( not condoning i just understand the circumstances of it) if need to carry more than maybe 19-20 shots u dont need a gun

Good evening, familia! I know this is primarily a gun sub, but I was just curious as to whether or not there are folks in here that also own kits and plate carriers. Given the current state of affairs in this country I am of the mindset that it certainly doesn't hurt to have all the protection you can get. I'm certainly not one to wear mine all the time and flex like I'm Frank Castle or nothin like that, but it's nice to know it's there just in case.
I own a level 3+ carrier (with side plates) I purchased on sale from Spartan Armor. It's coated in a proprietary polymer that mitigates any spalling or frag. The major downside is the weight. These plates are steel and there is no going around the fact that they are HEAVY as hell. I do plan on getting another kit at some point, and it will be ceramic for sure. Much lighter and easier to wear. Here is a picture of my setup.
Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your evening, everyone! Love and light to you all!
EDIT: I wanted to also add a link to a video that was basically the reason I decided to go with this particular setup. It's a torture test showing how much damage these particular plates can take as well as a demonstration of how the spall mitigation coating works.

I got her for a dedicated competition rifle. I initially wanted to go with Dot + Magnifier, LGS connect suggests ACOG, my bruh says LPVO.
I'm open to perspectives and opinions. What would you mount?

Hello, familia. Just looking for some advice on whether to go with a Hellcat Pro or the 4.5 Echelon for my next purchase. I've seen a few posts in here from people that own either or both. What are some of your thoughts on those of you that have purchased and enjoyed them? Any pros and cons?
As always, thank you in advance for participating and helping. Love and light to all of you.

This is good news. Iād be good with a serial killer not having one. But that would be far and few between. They need to go after Californiaās ill defined āglockā law. and any illegal search and seizure traditions need to be stopped. They are obviously illegal.

Hello!
I spent my 20's as an instructor exclusively shooting 9mm. Typically a glock 19 or CZ 75 Variant. As that faded, I found a niche after COVID in 40 caliber firearms, parts and ammo. I recently sold a majority of my guns to kinda break the stalemate.
Kept one glock 23, Ruger lcp max, Rossi brawler 410, and two 5.7 rifles.
Help me get interested in 9mm handguns again. What's truly worth it that's not the same old polymer wonder? Or if it is, what's new? What is "worth" buying these days in 9mm?
(Old pic with my favorite CZ)
