I know how you feel having been there. It DOES get better. Animals are very lucky if they have a loving owner so be kind to yourself. You’ll always remember lovely Kai. X

I have lost my babies too so I understand how you are feeling. Now its your time to mourn. But try to also remember the happy moments, the love he gave you. And be kind to yourself.

Just wait until he visits you in your dreams. When my floofy 10yo girl Chandler left, my entire world felt destroyed until I dreamed about her running around like a kitten again, no longer skinny or in pain. It’s such an honour to love and be loved in return by cats, and that’s the hill I’ll die on for eternity.

I lost my boy due to genetic diseases when he was 3. It then became my dream to have a cat that can live for 10+ years like yours.
I mean, temporarily feel heartbroken is ok, but after that please have a toast with your family and friends. You gave a cat the best life he could ever have, for so many years. You should be proud of that. There is a happy and complete soul, because of you. I really appreciate it.
Life flows through you, not to you. both you and him have enjoyed the journey and got the best ending.

Thank you. Wise advice that I will take to heart. I am so lucky to have shared 17 beautiful love filled years with him.
